I LOVE my Sport Trac!
I ordered my Sport Trac on Oct.19, 2001. I ordered evrything that was offered and then I waited till Dec.26 when it came in I also had the dealer order and put on the automatic headlights, bug deflector for the front, side window deflectors, rear cargo mat and custom mud flaps. I also just had it stripped with silver metallic sparkle double stripe tape last week. I now have 2300 miles on it and I will admit it gets about the same mileage as my FULL SIZE Ford Econoline. I really don't know if it will get 15 to 20 MPG like the window sticker said anymore. I give it a rating of 9.5! I also do wish you could get the same options for the Sport Trac as you can get for the regular Explorer.
Love this truck!
I have had nothing but good luck with this vehicle. It's fun to drive and great for the dog to ride in the back seat. Plenty of room for four or five people.

OUTSTANDING
I am impressed with the entire vehicle. I've only had a couple of small problems and one big problem with Ford's National Customer Service. I live in Columbus OHIO. This past winter it snowed 24" within a week. I had no problem getting through 2 to 3 foot drifts. This vehicle will boogie through snow. It rides great. I've never had this much fun driving a vehicle. It fits great in my garage unlike my previous F150. People who rag on power, bed capablility, and overall truck performance. Buy a truck (F series), this is a SUT.
Explorer Sport Trac
I purchased this vehicle because I am going to be having a child soon and needed something with more room. I chose the Sport Trac because of its unique ability to carry passengers and still haul items in the pickup bed. I also chose this vehicle because of the decent reviews it has gotten from most reviewers. Also I love the color (Island Blue)! So far I have 1450 miles on my Sport Trac.
Two Vehicles in One!
My husband's employer eleminated company provided cars so we traded our truck for something economical. I needed a car to haul grandchildren & grandparents and a truck for the yard work, recycle center & furniture. I traded my 2000 Maxima and the SportTrac has been a dream come true. I can do it all!
