We love it! We have 4 children and we can all fit in it. The tall (6’) kids can sit in the 3rd row and have leg room. The third row seats are on the wheel well instead of behind it and so they have plenty of leg room.

We bought the car because we needed the capacity to take the family plus two big dogs and two cats and all our stuff to our beach house. The car has a great smooth ride, as good as our 2013 RX350 that we traded in. We liked the Lexus but it was too small for our needs. Acceleration is very good for a very big vehicle and handling is good also. Cons? Lane centering is so feeble as to be worthless. Charging pad doesn’t work but maybe there’s something I don’t understand. All in all we are very happy with this giant hauler.

Love this truck. Have owned Expeditions since '98. Ordered this new 2018 Expy and it's been a pleasure for the last 2 years. Loved everything about the redesign. Was slightly worried about buying the first year of a complete re-design, but have had zero problems. I miss the growl of my previous V8 but the performance of the turbo V6 has really surprised me. Feels like same or more power than previous V8 Expy - no doubt due to turbo and lighter aluminum parts. Technology is well done and connectivity (phone and CarPlay) is seamless. Ride is beautiful and it actually does MUCH better on mpg (avg 19-20) than my previous Expy (avg 16-17). On a highway trip, I've gotten as much as 24mpg! Just for variety, I was considering trying out the Tahoe now that they FINALLY got an independent rear...but probably not. Overall I love this truck. Dealer told me next redesign probably won't be til '23 or '24 so I'm considering a leftover '20 or a new '21 to tide me over. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Last year we went on two vacations and on the first one we rented a Chevy Suburban and on the second one we rented a Ford Expedition MAX. We initially wanted the Suburban RST for its 420HP engine, but we also needed it to have 8 seats. In short, we couldn't find a 8 seater suburban within 300 miles of us so we went with the Ford Expedition MAX Platinum. It is perfect for going off-road to campsites and the 400HP engine is very powerful, and the transmission is so smooth shifting that you never notice the shifts. The 3rd row has lots of legroom, even for adults. The massage seats are very nice and comfortable, and we love the Apple Carplay feature. The 12 speaker sound system is amazing as well. The only thing I don't like is that the rear seat movie screens are very difficult to use. you have to pair them through the car's Bluetooth connection which is very annoying, but it works.

Just bought a new 2020 Expedition XLT after owning a 2008 Tahoe XLT and 1999 For Expedition. We drove a 2021 Chevy Tahoe, which was nice and feels just like the older Tahoes, no surprises but inside isn't a wow factor. The Ford Expedition delivers more room and value for the money. The Tahoe drives very smooth but tye new Expedition is very smooth and solid drive too. The Expedition interior edges out the 2021 Tahoe. The styling of the Expedition is the best of all generations. The V-6 feels just as powerful as the V-8's. That surprised me. No cons for the Expedition in my opinion.

Hands down, the best SUV I have ever owned. UPDATE: This SUV continues to be the best vehicle I have ever owned. Smooth, powerful, quiet, technology leader, I can't of a single change. We tow a 28' camper and the engine purrs right along, like nothing is behind it. Love it!

I love my Ford Expedition Max. It handles great and it is fantastic in the snow. I am disappointed in that multiple times I felt my transmission slip and the dealership said it was normal. A slipping transmission in an $80,000 vehicle to me isn't normal. I took my Black Beauty to Transmasters in West Valley City, Utah. The checked out my transmission and transaxle and informed me everything is alright. They informed me that it was the way Ford designed the system. I went back to the Ford dealership in Salt Lake City, Utah and complained again. There was a Service Tech named Doug there and he invited me to my vehicle. He explained what was happening. He told me to drive in Sport mode to alleviate the problem. My Black Beauty is operating more smoothly. The question I have for Ford engineers is how you can design an $80,000 and you can't use the Economy drive mode? I think there will be a large recall for Ford down the road. I pray I am wrong. Commonsense tells me I am right and there are going to be a lot of unsatisfied customers because of this problem.

When you have back pain it is hard to find a smooth riding vehicle. All makers go for sport handling and performance. Finding a ride that is smooth still takes wheelbase and weight, add to that the exceptional stability control found in this suv means that you get the ride but it doesn’t handle like a rhinoceros on a wet clay bank.

This is my 5th Expedtion, very well appointed and built SUV’s. No problems ever, comfortable and in this stupid time of extra high gas prices, the 2020 I drive usually averages 23 - 24 MPG of gasoline at 80 MPH, did 28 MPG at 70 MPH, 20 - 21 around town. Also pulls my 35’ camping trailer with ease.

Love the speed, got a 5 star tuning tune with my 2020 platinum. I surprise a lot of cars on the road. Also the seats on the platinum spoiled me to death. climate controlled messaging seats! The cushion and design are amazing. The platinum is quiet on the road, not sure the negative on road noise. maybe the base models do not have as much insulation materials. The car looks fantastic also simple yet elegant.

We bought this Expedition in 2020; Which turned out to be good timing. In the first 4 months of driving it, we had some issues with the suspension & the right side power running board. The suspension on it is supposed to adjust to road conditions automatically( Platinum version), but it was extremely bouncy. Also the RT. running board would not go back in until car was put in gear. We lived with it for 4 months & then it seemed suddenly car righted itself & haven't had any problems since. Guess it just needed a break-in period. It has lots of room for 8 & gobs of power & yet we're getting 21 mpg average on Normal mode. This is our primary car, so plenty of city driving. We started to wait for the new 2021 Cadillac Escalade, but glad we didn't. We are very happy with it & will keep till at least 100K miles.
