Old Reliable
I purchased my Expedition 3 years used with 33000 miles. It now has 125000 on it and I have not had any problems with it. I've taken many family trips all over without any issues. I wish that all the vehicles I've owned were as trouble free as this one. I have no plans to replace it and hope it continues to run forever.
Best SUV in its class EVER !!!
this is by far one of the best suv's built in the 2000's. sadly after 9 years we had to let her go, to get a newer more gas efficient suv, we got our EXPY used from a dealer with about 50k miles, I didn't EVER invested a penny in repairs other than oil changes, new tires (20's for the change of looks only) and smog checks. this suv had a lot of power, plenty of room, nice looks, design and interior as well as parts well equipped. my only deception? about 11 miles in city/ 14 in high way, no more! other than that I would be still driving it........

Buyers Beware
I bought my Ford Expedition and had nothing but problems. I had two blown head gasket one @45000 and another @60000 miles. Five times I had to return it to the dealer for A/C repair. I wrote Ford a certified letter stating the problem and they never replied. Such service. It is the most unreliable vehicle I've owned.
The first, but not the last
No major problems in the three years that I've owned this vehicle. Placed an order for a 2003 today and hopefully, will be driving that one by the end of this month
ongoing project
We bought this truck because we needed a vehicle to easily tow a boat and a trailer. We only have 74,000 miles on it and so fat the suspension had to be repaired 2 times, the torque converter, the instrument cluster, the mirror, the window, the stereo and now the transmission again and the head gasket nothing -- but problems. I would not recommend this truck to anyone; a true lemon. We only put 22,000 miles on this truck; the head gasket should not go this early. Always did the recommended service and oil change. Ford needs to seriously improve quality.
