2025 Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid Consumer Reviews

Good experience so far with PHEV 2025
Efficient power solution and with amazing Sound system. We used to have a 2021 Escape Hybrid SEL, the only think we complain was about the sound system and the small 12V battery. We made the upgrade with a PHEV 2025 and ensure we got the B&O sound system, night/day difference, be sure to get this package. Basic sound system is not bad, but not good.

Great car for the price
I traded my 2024 ford escape ST line for a 2025 escape plug-in-hybrid with the Plug-In Hybrid Premium Package about 1 month ago, during the employee pricing discounts. The sound system is much better, the seats are a lot more convertable. We drove 300 miles to get the one we wanted. After we got it home we had 185 miles left on the original tank of gas. We charge it twice a week, and have around 500 miles on it now. we still have not used any gas from the original fill up. When se bought the car, the battery was completely dead and would not take a charge, the Ford dealer put a new battery in it before we took it home. If this is not a daily driver, you may need to put in on a trickle charger or replace the standard battery with an AGM battery.

2025 Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid
We just purchased our 2025 Escape plug-in hybrid a few days ago, and so far, we couldn't be happier. I do think that i'll have to install a type 2 charger, as the type 1 charger that comes with it takes a long time to charge, particularly if it is very low.. We had looked at several cars and the one that we finally decided on didn't have some of the features that I thought it did, but the I am still very happy. When we test drove the car, I wasn't familiar with the information on the dash, and as it turned out, the hybrid battery was completely dead. So we really didn't get the EV experience until after we had it home and charged it. Since then, we have driven it all non-highway miles, so all electric. We have driven 50+ miles now, and the engine hasn't run at all, so we're sitting on 99.9 mpg. When we did the test drive, I really didn't know if the engine was running, as it is very quiet. My previous vehicle was a Toyota Corolla hybrid, so I was already familiar with hybrids, just not a plug-in hybrid with close to a 40 mile range on electric only. So far, I am very happy, and haven't found any problems with the vehicle.
