Used 2015 Ford Escape SE 4dr SUV (1.6L 4cyl Turbo 6A) Consumer Reviews
Lemon
I tried not to give this car a single star, but I couldn't but it's still zero stars to me. I thought I was buying a solid, used vehicle, but I was wrong. No matter what anyone says, this car has issues, and the engine is one of them. Furthermore, their fuel entry door system is not protected from potential harm by a person who may be sick enough to try and ruin your car, so that feature is not good at all. Don't buy this car. It also has transmission issues, and the electronic messaging is crazy in it. My extended warranty ended in Jan, and by July, the engine broke, badly, and I was only at 116K miles, and I took excellent care of this car. Ask any good mechanic and they have stories about this model and year. I shopped at Koons of Westminster, and felt a bit pressured to buy the car, but wanted to believe my salesperson was about helping me make a good choice but he wasn't, he was all about his commission, and I will never buy there again. Don't buy a Ford car, and whatever you do, make sure you have an extended warranty or else you wind up with a giant doorstop with wheels. Shame on you Ford, and shame on you Koons, you sold me a lemon!
Dependable
This has been a dependable vehicle. It has good cargo space, is very comfortable to drive/ride and good visibility - important for me since I am under 5 feet tall and not many cars "fit" me so that I can reach the pedals and see well too. The drive's seat's adjustibility is good. I also like the look of the car.

Much better alternatives for the price
i really regret buying this car. It can be zippy and fun at times, certainly during a 10 minute test drive. But living with it day to day is a nightmare. No storage for phones, drinks, and all the other modern accoutrements you need. But this pales in comparison to the absolutely horrible seats. They are so uncomfortable I dread driving it and cannot drive for more than 30 minutes without back pain. And yes, I did actually sit in it during my test drive. If you do want to buy one, rent it for a few days first. The negatives require time to surface, and once they do, you will be glad you didn't sign the dotted line. There are so many better alternatives out there. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

What warranty?
If you are a on the road a lot and tend to rack up miles, this car is not for you. At 87K in 3 years and no warranty left a bad seal caused it to overheat and let coolant into the engine. No more engine.... I still owe on it and can't trade it in. Thanks a lot FORD !!
