Bought a 2015 escape in February in June started hearing a noise coming from the engine. The mechanics at dealership said it was fuel injector that ruined the piston.We had to have a new engine put in. We felt should buy it back because it was defective, Ford said no because it was a new engine being put in,this was not satisfactory to us.We had to buy another one. The dealership or Ford would not trade it out for another Escape so we had take a hit and pay another 3 thousand dollars plus pay the taxes again. We've have bought 12 cars from this dealership over the years and this is how we were treated and Ford didn't care either therefore we will not buy another Ford product!!!!!!!!

Bought my 2015 Escape with 19K miles on it in 2016. At 43K had to have the engine replaced. At 71K, had to have the transmission rebuilt. Now have 101K on the car and seems to be running fine.

My 2015 Escape is a low quality vehicle. It suffers from stalling during acceleration as well as generally long turbo lag, very hard bangs coming from the transmission when you slow down then speed up again as well as a few occasions when it got stuck in 3rd gear until I came to a complete stop and loud highway noise inside. I have the SE 1.6L ecoboost 2WD.

While I was visiting someone, all of a sudden they saw my car was on fire in their driveway. Long story short, nobody figured out why it caught fire. Both front seats & consol burned up. Insurance refused to pay for manufacturing problem. Local dealer I used exclusively couldn't get rid of me fast enough. Absolutely the most horrible dealer I've ever met in my 50 years of purchasing cars. Ford corporate is meticulously set up to deny and get rid of claims and refused to even look into it. Had I known they don't stand behind their cars, I would never have given them my business. If I was on the highway when this happened, they would be paying out a hell of a lot more! I have been warning every single Escape owner I see. Some say they'll get rid of it and will never buy a Ford again. Otherwise the car is lovely, I just wish I could go somewhere. I'm. I'm scared to death to drive it.
