Used 2016 Ford Edge Sport 4dr SUV AWD (2.7L 6cyl Turbo 6A) Consumer Reviews
90,000 mile review
This car up until now has been perfect for me. It's comfortable, stylish, with AWD able to go almost anywhere, and it has great acceleration with the twin turbos. I am a driving enthusiast and I like the way this car feels and handles. We have taken comfortable road trips and it can cruise effortlessly at 90 MPH. However, there have been some issues with the car. At 60,000 it makes a chattering noise at a cold start for about 1 sec. I believe it is the tension springs on the timing chain. The dealer said it is common with this engine and it won't hurt anything, it just takes the oil a second to get there. Currently they are replacing the 3rd plastic oil pan, again under warranty. I wonder how much it will cost to have it replaced out of warranty. Now I am thinking of trading it in for a new Edge ST.

Speed and Functionality
This SUV pairs premium features with the speed and handling of a sports car. I could not be happier with this family SUV (with a hidden wild side)!

Great mid size suv
First of all, I've driven almost every available mid size suv in the market. The Edge Sport overall competes with every luxury mid size suv without the sticker price. Acceleration is above average. Engine noise is better than most in the category. Handling is better than average in category. Interior doesn't compete with luxury mid size like Lexus, Acura, etc... but is above average compared to others in price range. Panoramic roof is not a great option. If a motor goes out you'll be replacing entire roof. Overall the car feels great in your hands. Easy to use tech options. Seats are comfortable. Only issue I've encountered so far is the rear shocks only lasted 30k miles before failing. The all wheel drive works as designed and when you need it, it's there. If you are in the Market, make sure to give it a test drive and you might be surprised.

Oldie but a Goodie!
Having owned a well optioned 2013 Edge SEL for eight years, I knew that I wanted to upgrade to a Titanium after selling our “second car” which was a loaded 2008 Expedition which I had used as a business vehicle for ages. But the Ford sales rep who had sold us the SEL called to say that , even though I had asked him to find us a Titanium, a customer had just traded in a four year old ST that he said was “really clean.” That is car salesman speak for a vehicle in great shape. And it was, and still is, the best vehicle we have ever owned. So, after the SEL had been retired to second car status, it was T-boned by a driverless car in a parking lot which took out the BLIS in the driver’s outside mirror. After a long time waiting for parts, we were told it was unrepairable and I began looking for a replacement for our “second car.” I found a few 2016 Sports within 60 miles of home and flipped a coin to go test drive one. It was love at first sight!! And having put 20,000 miles on our slightly used ST, I already knew what I was getting into. It drove like dream, still does, and is fully loaded (Nav, pano moon roof, cold weather package, 21 inch alloys). At 81 and with two million miles under my belt, you can believe me when I say that if you can find a better car for the money, you better jump on it soon because these rides are rarities!!!
