Fun and Safe to Drive
FORD has created one awesome vehicle with beautiful styling and design. Driven the Edge to the switchbacks and rolling hills of the High Mountains in beautiful Colorado and New Mexico. The Engine and Transmission worked great and has plenty of power, and got us to our designation and back home - joyfully. The headlights; lights up the road, and does not blind other drivers (awesome). The front and rear seating have plenty of head and leg room. The instruments and switches are very well lighted at night time are all easily visible and with in arms length and reachable. All Wheel Drive (AWD) system makes the EDGE a safer vehicle to drive. The blind spot mirrors made me a safer driver.
Hopeful
Hoped that Ford had surpassed its competitors in this market. Not so with the edge. Comfortable ride plenty of room. Interior somewhat cheap plastic feel as a cost cutting measure. Braking is a big weakness. Brakes are somewhat spongy and stopping distance too long. Don't feel confident that I can stop quickly in an emergency situation.

Never Buy a Ford
Ford Edge AWD Limited with 205 000 km Blew the engine because the water pump went. They tell me it has a chain so I didn't have to worry about the water pump. Well it blew and now the engine is done and I guess so is the car. It will cost another $6 000 to put in an engine and I just spent $2 000 on front end. So $8 000 and I have my car back. But looking at the prices...even if it was in working order I would have only got $6 000. Bad things - Not great visibility with large blind spots Check engine light went on and it took $750 to figure what was wrong. When they replaced the gas tank from a recall they set off the sensor. Front dash around the radio gets scratched easily The buttons have discoloured on the radio and controls Would prefer knobs instead of up and down arrows. Sluggish braking. Poor acceleration. Poor fuel mileage. Window wipers don't clean the bottom part of the window on the drivers side Rusting along the front of the moon roof (common problem) Good Front seat folds all the way forward Like the all wheel drive Heating and AC is good. Cargo space is great.

Absolutely Wonderful Car
I bought this car new and have had it for almost 10 years. To date, I have had NO mechanical problems and only normal maintenance of brakes, tires, etc. The space behind the rear seats is wide enough for golf clubs and most other things I carry and the drop down rear seats provide ample storage and hauling space. The car is fairly low mileage, +/- 70,000 miles, but I have no intent to trade this car in anytime soon. I do routine things like oil changes, tire rotations, etc regularly, and it has paid off in superior reliability. GREAT CAR.

Limited AWD. Traded in a 07 Explorer and happy so far. Styling inside & out is perfect. Fit & finish OK. Comfortable ride with plenty of leg room in both front & back. 19.4 MPG so far in mixed driving.
