I love my Edge

I have been driving my Ford Edge Limited since March 09, and all I have to say so far is that I Love It!! The main reason why I picked it over the other vehicles I was considering was the technology package. You get so much more for the money compared to other vehicles. The exterior designed is powerful and I love the way it drives!

2009 Ford Edge Sport 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

The sport model look got me! With factory 22" wheels & body kit, looks great from any angle. It transformed the ride/handling into something unlike any SUV/CUV. If you like the tight suspension, definitely consider the sport model. Interior is not the best, but with nav/sync, makes it a lot more fun. Lots of legroom front & back. Car still new, getting 17.5 mpg average, hope it will improve. Test driven Murano, Venza, Rav4, Tiguan, & Pilot, none look as good as this sport model.

Great SUV

I bought the Ford Edge based on looks, the Sync system, and Ford's recently emerging reputation for quality. So far I am very satisfied with the entire car as a whole. The drive is smooth and quiet with good acceleration when needed. The body styling is attractive in a timeless way. It looks masculine and beefy, unlike the CRV or the Vue, and it doesn't have any over-exaggerated curves that might make it dated in a few years, like the Murano. The interior is roomy, comfortable, and stylish (despite what some professional reviews say). The best part is the Sync system and touch- screen display--it makes the car fun to drive. Ford included all the right options for the price.

I bought my 2009 Edge in May of 09 and by this month (Oct 09) the car is having transmission issues. It also had to have the front passenger speaker replaced...twice! Needless to say that i am horribly disappointed with Ford and regret getting rid of my reliable GMC Yukon. I thought I was going to save on the mileage, but I would have preferred to keep spending a ton on gas than have to deal with all the issues this 5 month old car has given me. I will never again purchase Ford or any other make/model this company makes and will do everything I can to tell people to avoid Ford vehicles like the plague! I thought Ford had fixed all their issues, but obviously this isn't the case!

If you own any FORD with a 3.5L Duratec engine(2007-2014)......Be AWARE!!!!! Flawed design. This engine is great unless your INTERNAL water pump GOES!!!!!!!! Who puts the water Pump inside the engine????.......FORD DOES!!!!!!! We have a 2009 Ford Edge that we loved......but had no idea coolant was going into the oil system. No leak ever revealed itself outside.....because it leaked inside. I thought it was a thermostat or the water pump but I did not know it had a water pump inside where the timing belt goes. What dumb ass at Ford came up with this brilliant plan........OH one who thought FORD could Bilk it's customers by making them bring it to Ford for the repair because the water pump is now inside the engine instead of safely outside the engine compartment not in with the VVT timing belt area. MORON!!!!!! Temp gauge never flinched until a day before problem was discovered. Going to cost thousands of dollars and that is if it is fixed after repaired due to sludge all within the oiling system all clogged and might not know if it is ever ok from here forward due to a piece of crap design!!!! This was a good car until this design was introduced to me.......WHO puts the water pump Inside the the engine?????? What a money robbing scandal. If you have one......Synthetic oil changes and coolant every 30K!!!!! Heard that from a guy who has two and has original water pump in both with high miles. FORD YOU SHOULD RECALL ALL DURATEC's you know what a FLAWED DESIGN you built!!!
