192,000 Miles
This van is fun to drive, very confortable, lots of cargo space. I replace the battery terminals, starter, alternator and door lock. It has 192,897 miles, engine is strong, it does not use oil.
At 162,000 miles it is going strong!
This van has traveled the Western US and Canada from Anchorage to the Baja and in weather from -60 F on the Alaska Highway to 111 F in the Utah desert. It has lived in Anchorage, Seattle, and San Jose. Other than a problem with the oil pan gasket leaking twice and Ford standing by their faulty repair ($500) there has only been routine maintenance. Interior storage is excellent and it hauls large and heavy loads. We packed it to the max for the move from Seattle to San Jose and it didn't sag down in the back. Great gas mileage for a truck at 24 - 25 mpg. Paint has held up very well with minimal waxing (every couple of years when I remember).
nice truck,bad trans
had a 93,loved it.bought a 96,at 90000 the transmission went bad.was told the shops called it the exploder since it was the same one in the explorer and was a bad design.other than that love it.
Best minivan, even used!!
They were very very reliable! They always start up, anywhere. In the driveway, parking lots, etc. We had a 3.0 liter, short version and had way up, around 214,000 miles. It ran, like a top! When we needed to sell it though, it needed a little work, and brakes. But my whole 5-Person, family could ride in it with 2 extra friends, of ours! Without squeezing, and we never was even had a hint of ever breaking down. So these are the best minivan, ever built!! We bought it used. Was my favorite vehicle, we've ever had!

Sorry I Bought This Van
This vehicle has cost me over $1k every year in repairs since I purchased it. From a hydraulic arm on the hatch spontaneously breaking (and flying through the van, very dangerous) to numerous engine issues, I have to give this one up. I just sank another $980.00 into it less than a week before I drove it from WA to CA. We returned from our trip last Sunday with a burned out transmission. From what I've seen and read about this car, you either get an excellent vehicle or a complete lemon. Guess which one I got?
