After owning a 91 rt/tt (see review), I decided to finally buy another one a year after selling the 91. Big mistake. The styling of the 94 was not as great as the 91 and the 6 spd was much clumsier than the long ratioe 5 spd. I bought the car in ca and drove it north to wa. The handling was unpredictable and the performance lacked feeling. Felt like a Dodge car instead of a Mitsubishi 3000gt which it was. This came out in the rain 5 days after buying it when the car spun out at 45 mph on a relatively straight freeway onramp (with proper tires). Both of us walked away with sore backs and a prayer as the car was a total loss after it hit the fence backwards. Go buy a low mile 91-93 R/T instead.

Base model handles better than my 2014 Camaro SS !

Picked this beauty up for $1800 on Craigslist . What wasn’t beautiful was that the fuel tank was rusted , blew 3 fuel pumps back to back, leaving me stranded. That’s because it sat in the previous owner’s garage for 15 years. Got a used fuel tank, very easy to install. New plugs, wires , timing belt and water pump. 20,000 miles later and it still runs quite well for its age. Mine came with the base 164HP 3 liter single cam engine. I am also told that the plus side of this particular motor is if it breaks the timing belt, it won’t bend the valves , hence a non interference engine. Easy to work on too as I’m a DIY mechanic . Good enough acceleration with the 5 speed manual for my commute to and from work. It gets compliments almost every day. ( : It won’t beat a modern day V6 like the Camaro, but it does take the turns better with stock rims/tires over my 2014 Camaro SS 6 speed manual. Definitely worth a look if you want a nostalgic car that looks sharp to this day.

Great Car!

If you're looking for a fun car, this is it! Easy to drive, lots of extras, and a great deal pricewise thanks to the SUV revolution. It's reasonable to find one for under $10K...pretty good for a car that was valued at around $40K when new just nine short years ago. An all around great sports car with styling that leaves Corvettes of that age wanting. Low, wide profile with big Z-rateds round off this future classic.

Best Car made in Anybody's Lifetime

This was my first car. The power response from the gas pedal to the acceleration is one of a kind, turns on a dime, with after market parts exceeds 800 hp. Smooth ride but rugged when needed. Slices through air like a hot knife through butter. Never got one ticket, played it safe. But if I did it would be for tripling the high way speed limit.
