Mighty Ram!
I have had the truck for about 8 months now, and I really love it. I have the 3.7 V6 with the automatic transmission, and it gets a solid 20 mpg! I love the looks of the truck, and I think it is a very solid vehicle. I would buy another one tomorrow! They only hauling I do with it, is my quad. I dont do any towing. if you were going to use the truck for towing, I would recommend the 4.7 V8. Other than that, get the V6 and save some dough! Great truck!
i wish....
CONS-Poor build quality for the 3.7L, The bearings are Aluminum :( -also the gauges are practically dummy gauges, oil pressure gauge reads "normal", even if low pressure is going on. Very disappointed to find "spun" AL bearings, when the oil gauge read normal, >>"Each time the cluster receives a message from the PCM or ECM indicating the engine oil pressure is about 6 psi (very low) or lower, the check gauges indicator will be illuminated.", otherwise reads "normal" = your engine might already be already destroyed, (mine 100k), the 3.7 rebuild is almost as expensive as a Hemi & about 1000$ more than 4.7 ect. Very disappointed to find oil sludging was an issue with the vehicle as well.

DODGE RAM 1500
THE TRUCK IS GREAT LOOKING. MORE THOUGHT COULD HAVE BEEN PUT INTO INTERIOR DESIGN. THE RIDE IS HARSH TO SAY THE LEAST. I HAVE A VIBRATION IN THE DRIVETRAIN OR SUSPENSION THAT THE DEALER REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEGE. THE HEMI ENGINE HAS AN ANNOYING TICKING SOUND THAT THE DEALER SAYS IS "NORMAL." THE DRIVER'S SEAT SHIFTS WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A STOP-STILL NOT FIXED. ENGINE AND TRANS ARE A GOOD MATCH AND FEEL STRONG.
2005 4X4 RAM
With 53K plus miles so far, very satisfied. Manufacturer over-torqued front wheels so rotors got warped. Dodge mechanic states valve train noise is normal. Stock tires are a little "floaty" on curves with bumps. No out of pocket expenses yet other than maintenence.
Hard to beat
My second late model Ram (I just traded my 2002). As you see, I'm going on my second Ram. I'm not saying I'm a "Dodge" man, as I've owned lots of makes and models. I rebought the Ram because I like a vehicle that has been good to me. Very roomy and comfortable (I'm 6'6") and well layed out interior. I was in an accident doing 75 MPH in my first Ram and this truck saved my skin (putting it lightly). Best priced truck in the market, I have to laugh at people who say that about Toyota- they obviously haven't priced the Ram. I have shopped around a lot and have seen what others are giving for rebates.
