Purchased in May 09, only 7100 miles when I bought it. Has 12,000 on it now. Added a Volant CAI which increased highway from 16 mpg to nearly 19.2 mpg and City 9 mpg to 11 mpg if I drive 5 miles over the limit. The CAI increased horsepower from 500 to 522 horsepower. I do punch it at times and it responds well and the sound is AWESOME! The truck has 22" rims, put Hancooks on and handle very well, even in wet weather. The Perelli's did not grip well in wet weather and set of 4 Hancooks cost under $1000. Purchased Altezza tail lights, billet grill for looks. Added a Pioneer DVD GPS system. Overall, great truck!!

Its awesome and believe it or not can get 16.8 on the freeway at 80 handleing is incredible make sure everything is nailed down giggle...every day i seem to find some other neat thing they did ....and you gotta get red.... ARREST ME RED but Yes i am a happy camper.... Rick

I love the performance of the truck - who wouldn't!! The stereo system is extremely impressive for a "stock" radio. Handling is exceptional. Suspension and ride are very stiff - both because it is a truck and it is a sports car. Ride is stiffer than standard Ram 1500. Vehicle is extremely fun to drive - I look forward to having to drive somewhere!! $45k is a bit for a truck, but hey it is a steal of a deal for what you are getting - a Viper that is actually easy to get in and out of!!

I collect muscle cars (mopars only), and this truck is faster than anything else I've ever seen or driven of the showroom floor.I would recommend this truck to anyone wanting just pure power and superb handling. As the old saying goes ( It's a Mopar or no car! ) This applies to this truck as well.

So far no problems. Gas milage really sucks but that is due to the fact that I cant resist keeping my foot off the gas pedal. Cant let those pesky mustangs and such pass me you know.

I bought it for a toy, a toy it is. Eye catching, ear catching, heart catching. You don't buy one and worry about the mileage. If you can buy one and pay cash, you will have even more fun.The navagation system is a must option, I'll be taking it around to show it off to all.

This truck is not for any beginner driver. It will tear up the asphalt quicker than you can shift the gears. The steering takes some getting used to. It is very tight, and will go where you move it. The brake dust is a bummer on it. They work like a charm, but if you like a clean look, expect to have some towels to wipe them down when you stop. The black is very hard to keep clean. It looks nice, but it is high maintenance. Get a red or silver if you can. Wear your seat belt in this thing. It will throw you all over the cab if you don't. The gas mileage is not bad for a truck. I have gotten as little as 4, and as good as 17. I had a lead foot the first tank.
I do drive it daily, and LOVE IT

I bought the SRT 10 to replace my other dodge 5.7 although I had it up to 425 hp. Gas E/mpg is about the same as the Hemi, plus in Chicago you need to be faster just to merge in traffic because no one will let you in but in the SRT they don't have a chance. Stock right now adding an HX40 turbo very soon. Plus nothing beats a Ram. Semper Fi.

This truck is about the fastest things on the road and its a truck!! I've tried F-150 Lightnings of various years and they are rather fast. This truck closes the door on them though. I just wish all wheel drive was an option or standard to control the wheelspin

This truck is a true street racer.The 500 hp is very eaisly felt from its idle to pushing you hard back into the seat with unbelievable power. The srt10 is more fun to drive than muscle cars of th 1970 era. runs great at any speed. This truck is a toy, I do not think it would be a good every day driver due to terrible gas milage {7mpg}

With a slightly modified '96 RT/10 already nestled in my garage, I didn't expect the truck to rival its performance. It doesn't. After all, it's hauling around nearly a ton more in curb weight. But this baby is plenty quick and fun to drive. It's thirsty at 10.3 mpg, about what I get from the RT/10 under reasonably normal (?)driving conditions. Bottom line - it's nice to have an "almost" Viper with electric windows, good air conditioning, a radio you can hear, and a truck bed for the golf clubs.

At delivery ran well. Recalled at 685 miles. PROM reflashed, now down on power. Dyno tested, power down. 2 dealers & Factory Rep drive and tell me that its OK. 7 years = 7 new vehicles, never treated this bad. Dyno tested, DC will not recognize Dyno sheet, they do not have the correct equipment to do their own test. Factory won't do anything. Frustrated. Documenting as I go and writing a letter to CEO of DaimlerChrysler, I am trying to pursue all reasonable remedies. Wife says she really likes the Chrysler Crossfire, but what about customer service. Looking at S55 Mercedes and was close. The way I have been treated it might be an M series BMW.

This truck takes me back to the 60's. I graduated from high school in 1965 and I owned a 1965 Olds 442. I also owned a 1970 Chevelle 454 with the LS6 motor and nothing compares to this truck. Thanks to Dodge for coming out with this truck. I owned a Ford 2000 lightning, but this truck puts that too shame. Go Dodge!

I got this truck three days ago. Put it on the highway the same day I got it drove it 630 to Texas. Babied it the whole way. Once there breakin miles completed. This truck pulls nicely. It has some fantastic torque and is so comfortable its amazing. Awesome stereo,navigational system, 500hp viper motor. It doesnt get any better than this. One of my other cars is a procharged z06 vette, and I actually like driving this truck more. I couldnt be happier and will always own a truck of this caliber as long as they keep making them.

awesome. more fun and power than my c5 corvette. i have the only one in our town of 100,000 people and it draws lots of looks and admiration. the only drawback is the 9 mpg , but with 500 hp what do you expect? almost bought the rumble bee (could have saved a lot of money) but after driving the srt- 10, no comparison!

I just purchased it, and I love this truck. It has great power on tap at any time. For what it is, it's just truly unbelievable. I walk away every time in absolute awe. I have found Heaven on Earth and the fact that it just draws people like very few other cars can do. So if you want a performace vehicle and gas isn't a factor, this is a usable truck that can actually carry more than her purse.

a great truck.. only 2 drawbacks to onsider.. rear spoiler permanently fixed across top of bed. dont plan on any freezers going in the back. (not that this particular vehicle is meant for hauling... its purely bling-bling) The other is the gas mileage. 5mpg city 9 hwy. at least thats what mine gets... but thats not bad for a 10 cylinder viper engine.. and a full sized pickup... I love mine.. glad I bought it.. wouldnt dream of gettin rid of it... Drive Safe...

had it 4 days took it back for the money should be better not impressed ride is like log truck hemi trucks are quicker on take off nobody drives at 150every place got rumble bee put nos kit on now i have 525hp saved 15000$

This truck is the most fun vehicle I've ever driven. Its all around performance is more impressive than I ever imagined. The looks I get anywhere I go is just an added bonus. I keep it in a storage facility until the weekend, and about 4 o'clock my adrenaline starts flowing. It gets me excited just thinking about it.

Its a truck. But in a life of a Viper! Great fun. really reliable. Built needs to be stronger. Comfortable if not going 150mph. Slick look to the outside.

If it wasn't free to me....no way. There's not many trucks, let alone one by Dodge that can command a $45k price....not worth it just to get a cool powerful motor.

This is an awesome ride for a performance oriented driver. The power, suspension, appearance, and sound system are combined in a great package. This is a specialty truck, not well suited for towing or carrying large loads. It is a ton of fun as a street cruiser. The super acceleration and highway cruising is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
