It's been a great suv!
I'm getting into the mid 70's for millage and running great! No problems with the exception of the Bluetooth phone connection that will not connect automatically. Been out west a few times and it was comfortable, stable on the highway, very good gas mileage and the space inside is great. The engine is smooth and powerful enough to pull a 22' boat nicely. I would buy another one but Dodge let a pretty good vehicle go to the wayside! It would have just needed a few Tweeks to make it a top tier suv.

Great suv for the money
Was, able to buy the journey new in 17 for around 16k and after 3 years have had no problems at all. I actually like the high revving 4 cylinder and find the power adequate. Would like to have a back up camera though as backward visibility is limited.

My review
Not a reliable car, this is the 2018 journey I traded in and it didn’t do so bad until like 50 thousand miles… then I had to constantly replace the battery and the camshaft position sensor, now at 89,885 miles I had to get rid of it I loved the car I wish I didn’t have to part with it but it wasn’t very reliable. I just traded it in for a 21 traverse which is a huge upgrade, other than the low quality speakers. Over all except for reliability it was a good car decent power, comfortable, and fuel efficient.
2017 Dodge Journey GT AWD
Bought from a dealer used still under warranty Vehicle shakes heavily at around 70mph. Took it to a local Dodge dealer, was told to have tires balanced. They never looked at it. Later the rear hatch release broke, replaced under warranty. In the mean time I had tires balanced, rotated, replaced all 4, still shaking. Car has only 29,000+ miles on it. Back to dealer, out of warranty by this time but now for $1,700 they were more than happy to look at it and repair it. Front caliper was froze up and not releasing, bad rear wheel bearing. There was a pretty rapid diagnosis once warranty was up. Service personnel stated that if I had bought from them and was a good customer he could maybe do something for me. Very disappointed with Dodge. Non of those parts should have worn out at 29,000 miles. I have a 2012 Journey SXT that has performed well but I would stay away from the 2017 GT AWD. I think it may be time to look at other manufactures.
