Love my journey but!!!
Love my the comfort and space in my journey. Was so excited when we purchased it but we had it for 2 weeks started making noise in front end and has been in shop for 3 weeks. They still can’t figure it out. As of today they are replacing my tranny in my 2017 Dodge Journey that only had 1000 miles on it. Not to sure what to think of it. The dealership has been amazing but not happy with vehilce

I like this car a lot.
Plenty of front seat headroom and legroom for larger drivers. Third row seating is great if you have to drive a bunch of kids around. There are two built-in coolers under the back seat floor mat, each of which can hold a 12 pack, for long trips. Power and handling are not great, but adequate for getting from point A to point B. I have been getting about 28 mpg on the highway with the 2.4L 4-cylinder engine. No problems so far.

My Journey
Excellent value, smooth ride and handling with the best cargo space in the class. Very good sound system with on the steering wheel controls helps keep your eyes on the road, not the radio. Nothing else on the market matches the features with the price. Recommend for any space hungry family.

2017 Dodge Journey 20,000 mile review
Bought it used with 3000 miles from a Dodge dealership in late 2017. Had my pick of over 10 of these SUVs used as loans and rentals After all the haggling total drive off cost of $15,321.86, which was not bad. It had the stock 4 cyl. engine which will do the job hauling loads or a trailer of less than 1000 pounds. Performance is fair, certainly not a race horse. It will get you from point A to point B. My Journey has minimal electronic stuff as I use Goggle map off of my phone and listen mainly news radio for info and traffic reports. No maintenance issues so far. I get a little wind noise from the roof rack, which I recommend. If you have lead foot the transmission is not the smoothest. Seating comfort is good. Carrying capacity is fair. Visibilty out the Journey is not as good as it should be. Installing 3" convex mirrors in the corners of the stock mirrors helps. Gas mileage on the street is what i consider poor. Taking several 250+ mile trips (especially to Vegas and local national parks), I averaged about 30 MPG (speeds 60 to 65 up the steeper inclines and 75 on the downhill side, which is decent. I strongly recommend using synthetic motor oil over regular motor oil. Mileage increase was about 1 mile per gallon. Bottom line if you are price driven a decent SUV for the price I paid for it compared for what they wanted for the similar sized Honda, Toyota, and other makers.
