Fuel System Problems

I purchased my Journey in Sept. Since then it has been in the shop 10 times. I cannot fuel my vehicle to full. It generally stops around 3/4. They have replaced everthing there is to replace. Then Crysler tells us that they are aware of the problem and that they "may" have a solution in July 2012. I asked for a replacement vehicle, within the NC Lemon Law statues and they denied me. I have a lawyer working on a claim. Crysler has been very ugly in this matter. Plus I have had to have all the brakes and roters replaced at 700 miles. If you are looking at this vehicle to purchase save yourself the heart ache and buy something else.

Bought 2010 Dodge Journey 8 months ago. In the last 3 months having problem with car, won't turn over. Reacts like a dead battery but everything works, radio, door chimes, lights. Neighbor tried to jumpstart but car still wouldn't start. Car finally started. Had WIN module replaced due to recall and thought that would fix the problem but 4 weeks later, car would not crank again. Took 30 minutes and over 5 tries then car finally turned over. Batter tested ok. Dealer say they can't find problem and don't think it is the starter. This is my 5th and last Dodge. I don't plan on buying another one. Too many complaints. Dont buy a Journey!

Glad I leased it

Worst vehicle I've operated. I am only happy I leased it and didn't have to keep it. Bad news was I broke my lease early because it was in the shop for major repairs too often, LEMON. New brakes and rotors after 9500 miles, really. Check engine light twice came on for camshaft issues, really. The last and final time before trading it in was it lost one of the cylinders...REALLY! Too many major problems for this SUV as well as the poor fit and finish of exterior panels. Cut my finger on the rear door edge plate. I had to sand it smooth so not to do it again. Traded after only 28 months and less than 23,000 miles. Very happy w/my new 2013 Toyota Rav4.

Please do not buy this car. The car stalled on us 5 times in the past year while driving, very dangerous! All 5 times we took it to the dealer and were told there was nothing wrong. This last time it happened, we were stranded in Mexico till a relative who owns the exact same model went to the location we were stranded at and did something to the engine since he has experienced the same issue. We took the car straight to the dealer when we got back from our trip, when we picked it up after once again being told nothing was wrong, we drove across the street to the Kia Dealer, turned in the car for a Kia Soul.

Don't Buy One

I’ve had this car about two years. The oddball tire size makes tires very expensive (tires are cheaper for my 1 ton 4X4). We are on our third radio system. The amp has been replaced twice, now the backup camera has quiet. Check Engine light keeps coming on with a code for a miss-fire. And as of recent, the front end sounds like something is breaking lose every time you get on the breaks’. This car has 24000 miles on it. The electronic gremlins live in this car. At my job we have a lot of new Dodge cars; most of them have the same type of problems.
