Excellent simple comfort and utility

I need a lot of legroom which is the primary reason I chose to consider this minivan. With the seat all the way back, my son or daughter in the second row behind me also have enough legroom. Unlike others who choose to buy a value priced vehicle then complain that it does not have enough technology, I do not want to pay for the touchscreen, blindspot check, cameras around the car. So I got what I paid for and love it. Incredibly comfortable with its 8 way and lumbar support drivers seat, substantial engine horsepower, separate heating controls for the driver, passenger and rear rows, are all features that I enjoy with my SXT trim. Loading it up to fix houses is unbeatable. Towing Capacity is great and even roof racks built in. It’s my second Grand Caravan of this generation. I currently have 56K miles on it and it’s been very reliable; I never worry when driving it. It’s not a cool car but it has way more utility than a so called sport utility vehicle.

Love this van!

2017 Dodge Grand Caravan GT 4dr Minivan (3.6L 6cyl 6A)

Purchased my '17 Grand Caravan GT over 2 years ago for 30% off and have been happy with it ever since. I have racked up 49,000 kms with zero issues. Fuel economy is outstanding as I average 7.5L/100 km(31 mpg I think) on the highway during the trips to the cottage in the summer months(as long as I watch my rpms) The kids really enjoy the DVD player as well as the power doors. With dedicated winter tires, the van is a beast in the snow, thought fuel mileage suffers a little bit, which is of course expected. Other than that I've got no complaints....

Transmission Timebomb!!

Stay away! Transmission blew at 89,000 miles requiring a total replacement. Dealer charged us $5,100 to replace. Unacceptable for a car that was 4.5 years old and just transported kids to school and baseball games.

2018 Dodge Grand Caravan GT Fleet 4dr Minivan (3.6L 6cyl 6A)

Bought a used Grand Caravan GT, a former rental fleet vehicle. So far this van has exceeded each and every expectation. Smart design, powerful drivetrain, best in class stow and go seats and a comfortable cabin. All for 10k less than the competition. Pound for pound and dollar for dollar this may the top vehicle in production for the 2018 model year. Its that good.

Review of 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT

Paul Harris, 04/28/2018

This midsized minivan is meant to be on the sportier side. With a 3.6 L V6 that allows flex fuel as well as normal fuel, this van can really go if you give it the right amount of power, although the engine has a bit of a lag at first. The startup is fairly quiet, but running vibrations while the van is in the park gear can annoying. The location gear shifter is a bit odd, but the dashboard is straightforward. Good local car, but lacks entertainment feature that would make long rod trips pleasant. Mileage is about 17 in the city and 24 on the highway. A fuel economy mode is available on certain models.
