I just bought the Durango about a month ago and truly love this vehicle!! I have been leasing a Honda Odyssey for the past three years and thought that was a fantastic vehicle for my two kids. When it comes to functionality you just can't beat the minivan. I was having a hard time trying to find a vehicle that gave me all of the things I loved about the van, but didn't look like a van. The Durango was perfect! I test drove the Ford Exlporer, Mazda CX-9, and the Chevy Traverse. Out of the four choices that gave me the third row seating, I was able to get the most amount of features for the dollar with the Durango.

We Recently bought this car after much research and tons of test drives. We test drove pretty much every single SUV out in the market today and settled down on this one. We got a huge discount and rebate on the 2011 model. This crew has more than what you ask for, for the price that we paid. For 31,000 it has a lot of stuff. The best part is that it is AWD, looks beautiful inside out. The ride is amazing. It is very quite on the road, especially on the Highway, once you get to the fifth gear, the engine becomes very quite that you can barely hear it. In one week we did 400 miles with 20 mpg combined, fabulous.

Bought my 2011 Durango crew awd used with 33k miles in good condition. At 67k miles the alternator went out and killed the battery with it. Left my wife and kids stranded in the middle of the road. There is not a voltage gauge on the vehicle to give any warning not were there any performance problems before hand to indicate an issue. Did research and found that the alternators on the 3.6 pentastar dodges had a recall. Contacted dodge and mine conveniently wasn't covered because it is 210 amp not the 160 amp that's covered. At 72k miles the front tires wore very badly and steering was all over the place. Had to replace inner and outer tie rods along with tires and alignment. There is a intermittant clunking noise while driving coming from the front end. Took a Saturday to investigate where the noise was coming from only to find oil pouring out of the top of the motor and several oil leaks in various places on the engine. Did more research and found that the genius engineers designed a plastic oil cooler/filter combo that sits under the intake manifold and is prone to failure on these engines. Had to order the part and spend two days fixing replacing the part because again the engineers placed the motor about an inch and a half too far under the cowl to make this a semi easy repair. Fast forward to 82k miles the starter went out again leaving my wife stranded at the store. Towed to the dealership... $1000 repair...to replace a starter. Attempted to do it myself but due to the position of the starter in conjunction with the motor mount and see made it a near impossible task on a garage floor. Still have a clunking noise in the front end I'm assuming is the cv axles, but am so frustrated with this vehicle that I'm looking forward to trading it in on a non dodge vehicle. Dodge has offered no support nor stood behind their product so I can no longer stand behind them

We (still) have a 2011 AWD Dodge Durango Crew. Its duty cycle is a daily commute switch off between mom one day for 10 miles total and our middle daughter the next day with a 60 mile round trip for college. Errands and entertainment ventures on the weekends. In the 8 years we've owned it we've done 3x 2000+ mile and 2x 1000+ mile road trip vacations with NO problems. WE LOVE THIS VEHICLE. It's built like a tank nut doesn't look like one, drives like a car, luxurious as a Benz, quick as a sedan and most reliable out of 10 vehicles we've owned over 30 years. We've had this Durango the longest. Dodge: DON'T CHANGE THE FORMULA!

I was so excited to get my Durango in June 2011. Since then I have experienced odd hiccupping, like its missing, when accelerating up hills. An extremely irritating rattle in the dash. I have had to have the back of the driver's seat replaced twice because the clips that hold it on break. The review mirror had to be replaced because the night dimmer decided to just stay on all the time. The key fob does not always work. Sometimes the push button start cannot detect the key. Since most of these issues are intermittent, of course, they cannot reproduce them. At least my seat and mirror are fixed for now.
