I got this car a year ago from my grandfather, and it had 183,000 miles on it then. It had been well- maintained, but over the past year it's needed a new starter, a new battery, a new timing belt kit, a new water pump, and a new serpentine belt. It also developed a weird problem where, after stopping and starting several times in succession (as in running errands) it wouldn't start for awhile, and no one could ever diagnose what that was. The car now has 198,000 miles on it and I'm done sinking money into it - I'm getting rid of it! However, this car performed great for a long time and took a lot of abuse well.
Worst car I ever owned

Normally do not submit reviews, but this car was/is just so bad I can't help myself. 2 major problems before it hit 60k miles. Currently runs without an electronics, as the fuses all short out within a day of replacing. Local Chrysler dealer can not figure out whats wrong, so just told me to buy "alot of fuses". Various problems the car had to be towed twice. Air conditioner also broke down. $900 repair bill on that one. I don't have the nerve to sell it and burden another person with this vehicle. I will have to eat the 25G I lost on it. All the local dealer could tell me when I asked if this was a lemon was "parts go bad".
Run From This Car

Bought it new, and have had constant problems with it mechanically. Electric window replaced, door locks failed, three catalytic converter sets, three fan motors, radio had a short, oil leak, started burning oil at 65,000 miles, finally water pump broke without a sensor warning and the engine block cracked. At $5,000.00 to replace with a used engine, it's headed for the junk yard.
Please run away from this car!

In 2006, if you're looking at a used Concord or Intrepid with the 2.7 engine, run away very fast! The engine was totally mis-designed and the interior parts don't get enough oil to keep them lubricated. My Concord had 72,000 miles on it and it just up and died. $5000 to put a rebuilt engine in it! Unheard of at 72,000 miles. Again, don't walk - RUN!
