This is a pretty great car if your single or young adult. But once I met my boyfriend who has two kiddos it was a tight fit. Then to add we had our own son recently. It is impossible to fit three kids in the back with two booster and one full car seat. I’ve had a few issues with the car electricly, issue where the radio wouldnt turn off which would kill my car battery then my car microphone wouldn’t work for Bluetooth or on star. Then recently I took my car in for an oil change and possible transmission leak (which they said wasn’t leaking... but there was still fluid dripping onto my garage floor... so not sure there) then 3mo later, my compass and Bluetooth microphone have stopped working again and the security light was on for a day, but is off now. It’s time for an other oil change, so hopefully they can figure out this electrical issue again... BUT other than those electrical issues in the last three years, the car is great. I bought it will 4 miles it now has 52000. I drove it across the country the first month and since driven it up the West coast and back and eastward and back. She’s great for big cities since it fits in compact spaces and the gas mileage is awesome.

GM cares little for safety, don't buy the trax

I bought my car in 2015 and in 2018 experienced steering issues they replaced 2 steering gears and other pieces. It was under warranty so I didn't recognize and they didn't indicate to me how serious this was! This year the steering gear stripped again in less time only 2 years and GM will not replace the part that was faulty even though the initial claim occurred during the warranty. My warranty ended July 14 2020. But, I feel the manufacturer just produced a vehicle that is mechanically flawed and gave a bandaid solution during the warranty instead of fixing the mechanical engineering problem. Be AWARE if you hear loud noises when steering or shifting out of park this is the stripped steering gear and you should not drive it. You could lose steering at any point! The GM dealership service department told me they get MANY repairs for the steering gear in chevy trax and people are "lucky" to have the second repair within the warranty. This is a non wear item. This should NOT be happening. I WOULD LOVE TO SUE GM AND ENSURE A RECALL PEOPLE DESERVE SAFETY AND PEACE OF MIND.

I bought my 2015 Chevrolet Trax LS, FWD in silver on January 20th. So far I have to say I’m very happy with my purchase, since I do have to admit that I’ve been a fan of the pint-size SUV since 2012 when I admired it for the first time visiting Canadian websites online. i purchased my trax new off the lot.i thought for 16500 it wasn't too bad a deal.i had a 2005 cavalier that was pretty good for a cheap new ride i purchased ten years ago.after four years and only 5000 miles it still doesn't seem worth what i paid.performance blows.i thought i would get used to the seats and the lack of personal space but i didn't.i have no complaints for reliability.the touch screen is very disapointing.i'll never buy a small chevy again ,cheaply put together and uncomfortable.also no cruise control on the base model,i'd rather have that than power windows.

I enjoy my Trax, but I paid too much for it

or the resale value is not great. Either way, after paying for 2+ years, I've still got about $3000 of negative equity. It's easy to drive and has great visibility. Great for parking in small spaces. It doesn't have a cruise control, which I did not know at the time of purchase.
