Great Great vehicle!
I had an 04 trailblazer ext with the 5.3L v8 and I loved it. Literally 3 days after buying it on an online auction site, I replaced a wheel bearing and threw a set of tires on it and went from MN to Mount Rushmore to Cody, Wy, to Yellowstone, up to Billings Montana, then back to MN. 2300 miles and I had no issues with it at all. The mpg was something to be desired (averaged 16-17 the whole trip) but I figured it wouldn't be that high with a v8 anyway. Sold that one a year later and will be getting another ext soon but with the 6 cyl, looking forward to owning one again.

Awesome first car and off-road machine
This was the best car for me and I had lots and lots of fun with it going 4wd and surprisingly good performance.

Functional
i have owned it since 2005 and when i bought it the dealer put a towing package on it it had about 100,000 miles on it. it is great for light towing. i have also taken it of road onto some trails hunting. It goes through snow and ice really well and i should know i live in northern WI.but for this particular Model trailBlazer I have found that many of my friends that have owned one along with mine have had the exaust manufold crack around 120,000 to 140,000. overall my trail blazer has 157,000 miles on it. there is a slight leak of anti-freeze in the rear heater coil. Personally my trailblazer has done its job and will continue to for a good many miles.
A True Performer
I have had my TrailBlazer for two years now and I haven't had any problems which is surprising as I got the fully loaded version with all the extras except for the DVD and navigation. I thought I would be willing to put up with some problems for the price but I haven't had one! My first scheduled maintenance service was at 25,000 miles and only cost me $66. I love the oil life monitor that comes with the onboard computer, because I do not beat on the vehicle. I've only had to change the oil three times in 25,000 miles. And I do get 15.1 miles city and 17 mpg on the highway because I keep it waxed with nufinish and use the cruise control. I have towed to near its rated capacity with four people.
