Got it right GM!
GM has their trucks dialed. Yes, I have a "ticking" engine, but hey, so what? After 10 seconds the sound is gone. The engine is strong and sturdy. I love the torque. Smooth, quiet, but there when you need it. Interior finishes are sub-par. Reliability is much better than my BMW X5, which is in the shop every month.
2002 Tahoe
Have had a great overall experience with this Tahoe. Standard Maintenance is all that has been required. Just replaced the factory tires @ 71,000 miles.

'02 Tahoe
This has been the most comfortable vehicle I've ever driven. It's big enough but not too big. I like the rear cargo door. You can open just the back window or the whole thing. There's no pillar to block the view. It's easy to drive. Plenty of elbow room. Layout of dashboard is practical. The Tahoe offers a quiet, smooth ride. It's comfortable on long road trips.
A great SUV
I really love this Tahoe. I guess the ride quality is what suprised me the most. It is very smooth and just eats up the bumps and potholes. It rides much better than my Explorer. The only criticism I would have is a little bit of wind noise at highway speed that comes from the large mirrors, but that is not bad. The front seats are very comfortable and can be manipulated to fit just about anyone.
Ex Explorer Owner
I've only had my Tahoe a couple of weeks but I love it. It's a BIG difference as far as room and ride than the Explorer I had. I've owned everything from Ford's to Honda's and everything in between.I think I'm a GM man now. I looked at the Expedition but I'm glad I only looked.
Chev 02 Tahoe
When I bought my Tahoe, I traded in a Ford Explorer. I knew I was going up in size, but that didn't bother me. I loved the room in this new vehicle. To my surprise, parallel parking was much easier in this vehicle than in the Ford, which was smaller. Only draw back is the steering colum in this vehicle had to be replaced which was a problem with all trucks for GMC/Cheverolet.
Excellent Truck
Incredible features on the "base" model. We just bought within the past month and have been happier than expected with the 4800 engine. The 3rd row is the best available - interms of leg room and 50/50 split for storage. Have used the AWD some in snow and this works great as well.
Exceeding my expectations
After driving a 97 Nissan Pathfinder for 5 years, I though ride quality couldn't be improved on another SUV. I was wrong. This car rides like a well mannered Cadillac. 5.3 V8 is a must. Has a nice throaty V8 rumble when you punch it. low road noise compared to my wifes new Ford Exploder which we hate. Very little cargo room when 3rd row seat isn't folded up. Fuel economy totally stinks, especially if you like to utilize the big V8 (which I do.) Turning radius is absolutely fantastic, light years better than my Pathfinder or the Exploder even though they are much smaller. I feel very safe carrying my 9 month old. I couldn't ask for a better family car!
Powerful
Excellent vehicle - I tow a 5500 lb boat with ease. Very nice, fast truck. Now I am thinking a Suburban...would never have guessed I would like the truck as much as I do. Could use a 6 cd changer option.
tahoe 2001 LT
Great for trips. There is no such thing as too much room with our family, and the Tahoe is the perfect size. We drive into the Canadian Rockies during bad blizzards and it feels very safe and stable.
Our Tahoe
The Tahoe has really opened up our eyes to Chevrolet. As current BMW owners (2), we considered BMW and Acura. We bought the Tahoe and are pleased with our choice. Well built (so far), good looking and large enough to haul "stuff".
Super SUV
Poor gas mileage but fantastic reliability. This SUV is a comfortable workhorse.

Happy
Wonderful vehicle. I love the solid feel and the 5.3 Vortec is a dream in traffic gob and gobs or low end torque. The truck is solid and feels like a bank vault on wheels going down the road.
love my tahoe
I bought mine during the $2002 rebate and for invoice less the rebate. The only options on mine is the 285hp engine, rear liftgate, and raised letter tires. At exactly $28k plus TT&L this truck is a bargain. I'm getting right at 15mpg city (with fairly conservative driving.) It is quiet, smooth, and very well done. I had a 96 Tahoe. Almost loved it but the brakes were terrible and the design was sloppy. GM has nailed these new SUV's, and I am very pleased. If reliability proves good, I'll call it just about perfect.
My tahoe!
Best car I’ve ever owned. Reliable, comfortable and total man rig!

21 Hassle free years
I have kept up with regularaintenance and had very few repairs all which were a result of normal wear and tear. I would highly recommend. I don't need another vehicle that size and not as happy with the interiors of the new smaller Chevy SUV's.

Hope it's good
Had Toyota or Honda vehicles all of my life. Since we have baby coming soon, we thought we'd get into a bigger vehicle and something with towing capacity since the tent is not going to cut it anymore. I have my fingers crossed and I hope i didn't get into a mess with this new vehicle. So far, 1200 miles or so, and no problems other than paying for gas. pp Oregon
2002 Tahoe
This is my second Tahoe. My first was a 97. This truck is hands down a much better truck. I have 55k on it and have had no problems. I tow a boat and have used for off road purposes while hunting. Also we use for our trips to CO for ski vacations. In all conditions it has been a great vehicle.
