One tough truck

I went from a 1975 IH Scout, my first truck, to the 2500HD. So it rides like a Cadillac, to me anyway. I like the ride to be a little stiff, it makes me feel connected to the rode. For those who say it rides too rough, did you test drive it? And do you realize what this truck is intended for? Get a 1500 if you want a smooth ride. The 6.0L is very strong but I would like a little more "get up and go". The interior quality could be stepped up a little also. The turning radius is decent and stock exhaust is throaty. Definitely recommend this truck if it serves your purpose.

Have driven this truck for 1 year. Pull an 8000-pound 5th wheel camper with it. Ride is good for 2500 truck. Handles the weight real well. Power is good for small block gas engine. Clutch slave cylinder failed at 10000 miles.

I love this truck. This is what a truck should do and feel like.

$13,500in engine work before 125,000 miles

Purchased a 2004 duramax because the diesel was advertised as the million mile motor. Big joke. At 124,000 my engine temp would not get above 160 and my heat was not working, and when I would shut of the engine the coolant system would overflow into ground. Found out I had a blown head gasket which was pressurizing the coolant system. Once taken apart by the mechanic, found out my glow plugs, injectors and water pump were bad as well. $13,500 later my truck runs great. Chevy should have had a recall I mean I paid $8500 extra for this super engine and it turned out to be a POS. Ended up rebuilding my engine sooner than if I had bought the cheapest car on the lot. What a joke. 5hnaks Chevy for a big fat nothing. Glad the union is striking. Your diesels blow ass. Should have let you go out of business in 2007. Lost this customer for life. [non-permissible content removed]. Update: guess what, blew another head gasket, and water pump. Traded it in on new dodge Cummings. Should have done it months ago. Rides great, awesome truck so far.

I was impressed the first time I drove this truck by the smothness of the 2500 HD 4 wheel drive. Much improved over previous model's ride. Although the truck still has less than 700 miles I have notice that the gas mileage is improving as the miles add up. The progamable features which allow custom features is much better than the fixed features of earlier models. Power and towing is impressive. I have towed my John Deere tractor (6000 lb + 2500 trailer) up an gravel road incline on my ranch and the truck did not show any signs of slipage of the transmission or lack of torque from the engine.
