I've had all the big 3 trucks now. The 18 Chevy Silverado LTZ71Double cab is really nice. 5.3 has plenty of get up, rides great steers great, touchscreen need to be bigger, less apps on the screen Ford's sync to me was better dodges u connect is really good...would like to see 20 inch tires instead of 18

Super Vibration at 66 to 74 mph

Truck has 10,500 miles on it and been in the shop 2 time for Violent Vibration from 66 to 75. First trip to the shop they replaced two tires at8000 miles and the second time it hit the shop they claimed the front were out of balance and re balanced them at 10,000 miles. It goes in Friday for 2 more new tires and they did a road test and when they did he explained to me they pulled to the side of the road once the tires were hot and dropped the pressure to the 35 specked on the inside of the door. So they did the test with it at hot 35 and claimed it was a good test and that they need to replace 2 more tires. They all must think owners are stupid. Cold tire pressure of 35 will only be 35 if you don't drive it. Bottom line 10,500 mile with 4 new tires and the problem will be temporary fixed until it gets driven. Bad tires are bad tires . You don't fix bad tires by putting more bad tires on it. Very dissatisfied with Chevy after driving Chevy for most of my life I will probably buy a Dodge next time.

In November 2017 I bought in new Chevy Silverado . It was a 5.3 ZR71 Fully loaded . With only 103 miles on it. Now it has 38000 miles on it. It is turning out to be a problem child now. When you go to put the window up or down it gets halfway it is starts going up-and-down by itself without touching any buttons or anything. In all song when you go to put it from automatic to for high 4 low it gets confused on what to do. A friend of mine got out the Vehicle when I shifted it the front tires wanna go backwards the Back tires wanna go forward. At the same time. It just seems like this is pretty Strange this happen right After 36000 miles. What's next who knows I will be right another review on what goes on next.

Drop-down descriptions not quite right: this is a Z71 LT Double Cab, 5.3L 4WD with 6.5' bed. This has been a very comfortable vehicle for road trips but I should have listened to the man that said to get a Crew Cab rather than the double cab because you're going to want it later. I do now and will be replacing this one soon but have had just a few very minor problems. Right from the start the gas filler neck grabs the nozzle on the hose, especially but not limited to Shell stations. My freeway speed is usually under 70 mph resulting in great fuel mileage between 24 and 28 mpg (seems to depend on fuel quality and, of course, topology). The 5.3L is a very strong, smooth and quiet engine. The power driver seat is comfortable for about 2.5 hours at a time but certainly not as comfortable as my Mustang GT. Very capable off-road in every condition I've encountered in New Mexico. Runs fine on 86 octane at 5300' and above as do most of our vehicles (but not the Pony). My 100 lb wife loves this truck and drives it to the gym and shopping as often as I'll let her.

My 5.3 4x4 has plenty of power and good gas mileage. Especially with a rough country air intake... Silver Silverado double cab Lt V8 Z83 4x4 black red line edition grille with trail hog 265 70 r17s. Mpg averages are around 17city and 22hwy.
