A Real Truck
This truck is all it can be. The comfort is better than expected. Reliability has been awesome.
First 4X4
Have had the truck for one week. Have had older Chevys, Fords, and most recently a 2001 Tundra. This is the first 4X4 that I have owned. So far I've really enjoyed this truck. Ride comfort is surprising. Noise level is also surprising. Really have enjoyed the XM radio and the heated seats. Being just a little larger than the Tundra makes a big difference.

good
good, has but would be better with more power of a bigger engine. I have lots of big dog parts on my silverado so it has more power because there in not enought stock.
Bowtie Power!
The Truck rides like a dream, Great in the snow and the interior is nice
Extended Cab for the single parent
In my search for this very vehicle, I was determined to get what I wanted. I had no problem finding it!
GREAT TRUCK GREAT PRICE
Probably the best truck i have ever owned, bought the truck new in september i use it to go back and forth to work, i have a bad back and the seats in the chevrolet with leather and seat warmers make all the differance in the world, my last vehicle i could sit in for maybe 30 mins and felt pain this truck i can drive for hours of painless driving if you have a bad back you can relate with me BUY A CHEVY wow what a truck
LOVING THE CHEV
Absolutely love the truck! Had a 99 silverado before, this one out-performs it without a doubt!
Excelent Truck
Excelent truck, beautiful exterior completely re-disigned. Rides like a car reliable as a truck.
Best truck around
This truck is an absolute pleasure to drive, especially with the quadrasteer feature. It turns and handles like a sportscar.
almost perfect
I think this is a great vehicle. Very strong and reliable. It could turn a little sharper tho.
Chevy vs Ford & Dodge
After owning 4 ford F-150's and a Dodge, I opted to check the competition, it took alittle arm twisting to break my Ford tradion however it was the smartest move i've made, this truck has relatively no rear bounce yet is tight with its towing package, extremely smooth ride and ample interior room, I am very suprised as to the great mileage on this big V8, lots of leg room and plenty in the extended cab also, Ford still has a cramped cab even in the 04 models, have no problems as to date and all is what was advertised, This new Silverado LS is a smart choice.
USA #1
Very powerful with a smooth ride excellent stereo with convenient features, folding power heated mirrors are great, stock goodyears very good in snow and ice. Friends say it rides like a cadillac
My Truck
For the frist time in a long yime I will be at home trying to think of some place to go so I can drive my truck.
My Giant Cadillac!!
I named my title that way because those were the words I had said described to the feel and the comfort as my husband and I first took one out for a test- drive. The suspension is smooth and the response in the handling is amazing as I've never driven a pickup truck in my life!! If I found it easy to drive than any woman can drive this thing!! The first 2003-04 Silverado wasn't a Z71 package like the one we ended up buying, but what a thrill to drive in any Silverado!! We love it and we're both glad we've done our homework before settling on driving a Chevy truck!! Now I'm looking to buy my own Chevy trunk in the very near future for my own thrills!
Good truck
Bought the truck used with 37000 on it. It has been very reliable up to this point, I now have 60000 miles. I recently purchased a 29ft camping trailer and the truck did fine towing it. Maintaining highway speed was not a problem with the 6000lbs in tow. My only complaint is the brake system. I've tried new rotors and three different types of brake pads, but the brakes don't give you confidence. I wish I had the Hydro-boost system, the vaccum assist brakes are terrible.
A Quality Truck
I have owned many Chevrolets in my life and this truck is one of my favorites. The ride is nice and the power is unmatched by many other trucks offered by other brands. The style is unlike any other truck. Chevrolet is doing a good job of putting out quality trucks. I use my truck for work and I am never disapointed. I take it for long trips and stay comfortable and never worry about breaking down.
Fianl Decision!!!!!
After testing every truck in this cat., I finally got the LT 2wd. Surpasses all the others in comfort, power, ride, solid feel. I hope the Lim. slip and traction assist work almost as good as 4wd. with weight in the bed. Fingers crossed...everything else so far is great..
A GREAT TRUCK, WELL WORTH THE MONEY
My husband & I are very glad that we spent a little extra money on this truck instead of the Ford F150. Our friends purchased the Ford, and it is smaller inside, & the seating is not as comfortable. The gas mileage so far has been better than expected, considering the size of the engine. We feel very safe traveling in it. I is a very well made vehicle.
Silverado SS
Although it does not get any press, I love my SS. It has great power, great looks, supurb handling. And she can pass anything but a gas station. The all wheel drive brings down the mileage a little.
4dr Ex Cab Z71 4WD SB (5.3L V8)
XM Radio with Bose speaker package is very nice. When switching between FM and XM you wonder how you ever lived without it. No annoying FM morning DJ's and no annoying commercials. Tinting rearview mirror is great. 4x4 provides great traction. Snow, mud, uphill. Bravo for someone finally putting a rear defroster on a truck. Best Fog Lights ever! Provides great lighting to the sides of the truck allowing you to see the sides of the road for any dangers (pedestrians, deer, etc). Also greatly increases the brightness in front of you without blinding oncoming traffic.
first new truck
good truck , always a chevrolet fan, engine is slow,''a k and m air filter will help that''.mirror fell off at 200 miles.can tell parts went to lowest bidders, but a very dependable truck.vibration in v 6 engine.bought 100,000 mile 0 deductable warranty with it.girls love looks of it.; )
good truck
The roof should be stronger, and the paint should be more durable.
A ride thats unbelevable......
This vehicle rides like a cadillac. It's the most comfortable and smoothest riding truck I've been in, it rides better than a Ford, thats for sure.
Love my Chevy
Comfortable, dependable , and makes me proud I can buy American. It has given me better service than the last two imports that I owned. It tows great too.
truck
very nice truck, good handoling, user frendoly easy to drive and better than most stock trucks off road
Roomy for the kids...
Took the grand kids to the east coast 3600 miles round trip. 22 miles to a gal. Roomy even for the 5 year old not to get fussy. Love the bench seat in the back. Great on the get up and go. The horse power is good for a 4.8 vortec. Oh yeah the price was right too. Color Arrival Blue sure is pretty. Overall good for the money.....
Love this truck
I bought this truck as a daily commuter and weekend hauler. I wanted comfort during the week and acceptable mileage (over 20 miles/gallon with a tonneau top). Additionally I wanted ample room for adults, teenagers and the dog when going on short to medium range family trips. I am glad I made the decision to buy this truck even though I looked at Ford and Toyota first. The reason that put me over the edge was I got a "GM in the Driveway" certificate from a GM Parts employee.
Can't Compete with Silverado
Has a incrediable ride and handling. Interior is comfortable and well design. This is a well built truck.
BlackJack21
I enjoy the comfort of the vehicle. The only downfall I see is it lacks passing power, it takes a while to kick down and accelerate.
4x4
All in all it is a good truck. Have trouble with speedometer and tach gauges. Company does not stand behind product and will not fix. Also trouble with front 4x4, having trouble fixing, speakers don't work then they work
Overall quallity
Fun to drive, and very reliable and works well for day to day activities, and excellent for taking out in the wilderness and using it
GO CHEVY
THIS IS NOT THE FIRST CHEVY P/U I HAVE OWNED. IT IS MY EIGHT. PRIOR TO THAT I HAVE OWNED THREE FORDS. THERE IS REALLY NO COMPARISON. I HAVE NEVER REALLY UNDERSTOOD WHY CONSUMERS REPORT ALWAYS GIVES THE JAPANESE VEHICLES GOOD RATINGS, "MILES" AHEAD OF FORD OR CHEVY, AND DON'T EVEN MENTION POOR DODGE. PERHAPS OWNERSHIP HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT?
I love my truck....................
i have nothing to say about my truck but good things. I used to have a 2001 silverado and decided to go with a 2004 and couldnt be any happier....thank you chevy----for anyone who decides to do lease please reconsider---GMAC will screw you like they did me on my 2001. Its just cheaper to buy then it is to lease---no if ands or buts about it
My first truck
fun to drive, good power
Better than the Ford F 150 by far
Having spent several weeks renting an F- 150 all new 2004 model, and then buying the Silverado, I was more than impressed. Its mileage for a large truck is really better than one could expect. Its ride is closer to large car quality than most, where the Ford bucked and jumped on uneven freeways in Texas. The bucket seat option is a must, and the XM Satellite Radio is a lot of fun that came with the package. Easy to drive and operate.
CHEVY IS THE BEST
THIS IS MY SECOND SILVERADO IAM REAL HAPPY WITH IT. REAL GOOD TRUCK I LOOKED AT OTHER TRUCKS BUT THIS ONE REALLY CONVICED ME. REAL GOOD FOR TOWING AND ITS JUST A REAL GOOD TRUCK IT HAS MORE SPACE THANANY OTHER EXTENDED CAB TRUCK OUT THERE
great truck ------------
Had my truck one month and have 2500 miles.. so far it has been great..Have the 5300 v8 and so far have been getting an avg of 18mpg. get a decent 20 to 22 on the highway if I keep it at 60 or below..
bad air bags
our truck lasted 40 days &the air bag light came on. took a week to get parts. lasted 4days. air bag light is on again. Called chevy in detroit, they acted as if they couldn't possibly have cared less. This will be my last chevy. $27,000 sticker and it doesn't even go 90 days without problems. I still think they should replace the vehicle
Best I ever bought
I have owned over 8 cars in the last 10 years. I traded in my 99 Ford Ex XLT SUV for this truck and have been very happy with it. The ride is super nice, no bumps or engine nosie, unlike on my Ford. Plus it shifts smooth while towing at high speeds, unlike my Ford. Plus has lots of power to get moving in traffic.
First Truck
This is my first truck. Looked at Ford and Dodge went with the Chevy. Best pick I ever made. Rids like a car. Gas mileage is poor but that is what you get with a 5.3 V8.
Great Truck
I have had many trucks. This is by far the best I have ever owned
Chevy has done it again
This truck is awsome,,the ride ,the looks,,what else can you ask for---its all here!!I will never buy any other truck, but a chevy..
EDS SILVERADO
Like the truck a lot except for a vibration a 1200 RPMs
Chevy #2
This is my second Chevy truck and I absolutely love it. I only traded in the first because it was a lease. Came home with another Silverado and am extremely happy once more. I have fun driving a truck and I feel safe at the same time. Can't see myself owning anything but a Chevy truck. :)
First Chevy Truck
I tried all of the full size trucks and found Chevy to be the best value for the money. The new F-150 was very uncomfortable especially for the long drives I take. Dodge trucks were overpriced and came with very few features.
My Chevy
5.3 litre engine is good balance for normal driving conditions and towing light trailer. (under 3500 lbs gross weight) Almost rides like a passenger carD
Great Truck!
I love this truck! I replaced a 5yr.- old compact pickup because I needed more power - boy did I get it. The truck has all the power and acceleration I need, along with car- like comfort. I've taken two fairly long trips already (over 300 miles each) and I've yet to grow tired of driving. I haven't used it for towing yet, but I have no doubt it will have all the towing power I need. I added a tonneau cover to the box, and that seemed to improve the gas mileage a little. Right now, I'm getting about 17.5mpg on the highway at 75-80mph - that's better than my old 4-banger, even with the higher acceleration.
2003LS v 2004LT
The complete front seat & compartment s/u on the 2003 model was 100% better, including lighting, ashtray, drink holders, etc. Also, front seat was NOT 100% 'bucket'[Much better I think] 2003 had 3 DC Sockets; 2004~~two only.
jd reviews
excellent power, very pleasing ride
Trudk
Great truck. No auto track buzz out of floor slight on 4 wheel stick and fan noise out of headliner, probably from dash. Will take to dealer for these, but these are the only ones. Great in the snow, pavement, dirt, and ice. I live up high in the mountains and it is always reliable.
