Oringal owner with approx. 126,000 miles. Still getting 20 mpg (mostly all interstate driving) very good powertrain with the bulletproof 4.3W and 700 series trans. Have had the front doors replaced due to rust but was covered by GM's 6 year 100,000 mile body warranty.

I liked my first; so when I totalled it while avoiding a deer,I thought I wanted another--mainly because I was wearing my seatbelt and didn't run myself over!Unfortunately, I overcorrected(35mph), hit a gravel shoulder, and rolled into a deep ditch. The insurance company deemed the situation totalled. I purchased my present Blazer because I was comfortable with the first, not knowing it could roll easily. (I assumed I simply maneuvered it wrong.) Since then I have friends and family who insist this is a dangerous vehicle. It's getting up in miles, so it's time to say "good-bye".

This Blazer was purchased for me as my first car in July. I had finally talked my dad into buying me an American car because I thought it was cutsie tootsie. BIG MISTAKE. I've done research and buying a blazer through 97 is like playing Russian Roulette. The computer chip has been replaced but that was not the major problem. The O2/gas vavle had carbon build up every 150 miles or so, or until a long drive would knock someloose. This costs me 300 a month to fix it and I dont even regularly drive it.It has false starts, choking, and when it chokes it looses its auto everything.

I purchased the truck December 2004 for $400 for a truck to beat on and take offroading. It has 160k miles on it and runs great. I repainted it put new plugs in and its like new. I have decided to keep the truck and sell my car. It has been reliable so far. Its got some power to it too. The 4wd has gotten me out of some muddy situations. But the front 2 doors rusted on the bottom whch was a factory defect. And the fuel pump makes a humming noise. The interior is extremely comfortable with the leather.
