Great New Car

Drivers young and old will love this new Impala. From the throaty rumble of the dual exhaust to the excellent quality sound and comfortable ride this car has something for everyone. It has been a pleasure to drive and own. Friends and family love it too. I have lot's of friends asking to take it for a drive or go for a ride. The price was great the only thing I would like to see added is a DVD Navigation System, cooled leather seats, and a little more thigh support from the front seats. This is a great all around car.

Very Good Impala

I bought the car new and recently broke 50K miles (3 yrs). The only problem I've had was a bad power steering pump which was replaced under warranty. I am pleased with the mileage, I was getting 27 mpg combined while driving 50 miles round trip to work. I now work closer and mileage has dropped to 25 mpg combined. Response and acceleration are great on the hiway. Someone complained about the Goodyear Infinity tires, but I got 47K out of the first set which I thought was good. As a matter of fact I replaced them with same tire. Hopefully I will get many more years and miles out of the vehicle.

Great Car for the Money

I've had my Impala LT for nearly one year and am very happy with it - 36k miles. It's been 100 percent reliable, solid feeling, and gets about 28-32 on the highway (once got 34mpg on a tank driving 65 on flat open highway). This is a great car if you're looking for an American vehicle that's well built, has a great drive train, and can be driven long distances with good comfort. My last Chevy (1998) went more than 170k trouble free....hopping to get the same or more out of this one. So far, so good.

Comfy, Roomy, Cool, but not Sexy

People who ride in this car say things like, "I like riding in this. It's not a very good looking car, but it's comfortable". The A/C here in LA is great. The ride is smooth, but not as quiet as I've had it other cars this large. At 30,500 miles, after a 40 mile drive, the engine temp gauge went all the way to the top! It caught me off guard. I turned the heater on, but to no avail. I quickly pulled into a parking lot to check the radiator, and it was fine. Turns out the water pump went out. Thankfully, it was covered under warranty.

Not that happy

I currently am in a 4 year lease with my Impala with 11 months to go and counting! Not happy with the fact that it needed brakes and rotors all the way around at 24000 miles. Had and entire exhaust system put in this Aug, under warranty thankfully but now the warranty is up and I am terrified that this car is going to cost me during the last year I have it. Just put a tie rod in at my own expense. Other annoying problems. Let's see, rust spot that keeps reappearing on the trunk due to screws underneath trunk molding, clunking in the back end when you go over bumps, broken sun visor, fuel pump and hoses replaced after 1st yr. Passenger seat that clunks anytime someone sits in it. No more Chevys!
