Impala Review

I purchased this vehicle brand new with on 26 miles on. I had all maintenance performed at the dealership & still do. At 70, 000 miles the vehicle started experiencing problems with the ABS & Traction Control while turning or slowing down at low speed. Also the instrument cluster stopped working i.e. speedometer, thermostat gauge, engine Rpm monitor. I had the thermostat replaced under warranty. GM should invest in better parts for a more reliable vehicle. Other than that I travel daily through 3 cities & the veh gets good mileage on the hwy.I would purchase another one only if GM modified their parts! This is the 2nd GM veh I have owned both brought new with the same problems, no more!

Security Light comes on and car won't start for 10 min. Started once a month now 2 times a day. Talked to Chevy but no solution and no hope for a recall. Looked on-line for solution and found many people with same problem. They only have temp solution for $800 or more. This problem is a safety issue and needs to be recalled. Are you listening Chevy?

Good car, great value

I have had to replace the battery 2 times in 9 years I've had this car. I attribute this to the difficult climates of the Las Vegas summer (116 daytime highs) and the Reno Winters it has had to endure (7 degree mornings). Two water pumps, and two fuel pressure regulators (one of which was due to a defective replacement part). Other than that, it's spoiled me as it doesn't leak anything, runs smooth, and has me expecting it to start reliably. I also put a set of Michelins on it at 30000 miles. First car I bought with my wife the year our baby daughter was born (new). Hope I can keep it going like my wife's 73 Cougar.

I have 116,000.00 miles on my Impala, bought it new. Other than normal wear and tear, I have had no issues. I am actually considering buying another one for my next vehicle. I love it!

I OPTED TO WAIT AND BOUGHT MY "LS" IN 2005 WITH ALL THE REBATES. THIS CHEVY SCREAMS ON THE ROAD(GREAT ON THE ROAD) IT SCREAMS INSIDE(SUPERIOR STEREO SYSTEM) AND IT SCREAMS JUST SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY (CORVETTE TAIL END WITH THAT SCOOP). AVERAGED 23-M.P.G. ON MY FIRST TANK, THE MINUTE I GET INSIDE OF MY LS, I CAN LOOK UP THROUGH THE SUNROOF AND THANK GOD I GOT THIS CHEVY, IT IS PHENOMENAL WITH ALL THE STANDARDS, DON'T LIMIT YOURSELF, GET THE LS VERSION AND GET THE UPSCALED SUSPENSION AND EVERTHING WITH IT. POWER, PERFORMANCE, EASY TO DRIVE, GREAT TO RIDE AND CAN LAY DOWN IN MY BACK SEAT. LOT OF VALUE FOR THE MONEY AND IF CHEVY KEEPS THIS KIND OF MENTALLITY OF OFFERINGS, I'LL BUY ANOTHER..
