This car has never had anything go bad. It is the most reliable car I ever owned. At over 77000 miles it preforms like new. It is fully loaded and all accessories preform perfectly.

I just bought the new 2003 base sedan. It is my second Impala. The 2000 I had I just loved. But it did give me problems with the transmission. But the dealer kept rebuilding it so I have no complaints on my dealer taking care of me. But the problem was more then I could handle so I bought the new one and I love the Impala's they are great for traveling and I put a lot of miles on a car in a year. I have room for everything in this car. And I will always have an Impala as long as they make them.

Great full size car but has some flaws

Overall a great car, roomy. Good everyday high mileage car. Water leaks at wheel wells-Water puddled in rear foot area-Rear wheel wells had to be sealed. Keyless entry stopped working-1 week wait. Dealer used wrong transmission fluid after servicing-transmission slipping- Extended warranty will take care of this. Cheezy cup holders will break apart repeatedly with bench seat. Developed back problems because no lumbar support-lubar support pillow in driver seat helped me recover. Only 25 mi/gal with 3.4L engine- should get 34 on highway- should have bought the 3.8L engine. Headlamp shroud came loose, had to replace headlight assembly = $250 @ dealer.

I've had my Impala for about 3 1/2 years now and it has about 111,000 miles on it now. My wife and I drive it everywhere. It has been a great car so far with plenty of room, excellent trunk space and a nice full size car feel on the highway while still handling very well. Fuel mileage is very good with the 3.4 V- 6. I first got about 29mpg. on the highway then switched to full synthetic motor oil which decreased engine drag and increased the highway mileage to 31-32 mpg. Not to mention, the synthetic oil has kept the engine running like new. It is a great car that I would certainly buy again.
