Good car
I bought my Equinox used in 2007, my current mileage is 110,000. I've had no problems . Only performed routine maintenance . A great vehicle and fun to drive. Handles great in the northern Michigan winters .
Okay SUV
I bought this used in 2008 with 28,000 miles and just traded it in with 52,300 miles. I liked it and thought it was fun to drive.

Luv my Chevy Equinox!!
I ordered it new in 2005 with all the available options and only have replaced tires - I have 67000 miles on it now, and no problems. I am seriously thinking of getting a new 2010 model, but believe my gas mileage is better than the rating mpg on the new 2010. I would highly recommend this vehicle. Proud to drive it~! Sharp looking and easy to drive...dependable too!!
Had to replace the transmission.
Just bought this used vehicle a few weeks ago and has already been in the shop. I knew based on price and miles that it would not be perfect, but I was not expecting to have to immediately replace the transmission. Ugh. I don't care about seat staining but I guess if I bought it new I would. I had bought a brand new Kia Soul in 2012 that had that problem and it did annoy me so I can relate to other reviewers. Don't care about stereo but I guess I should be glad someone put in a fancy aftermarket Pioneer. Almost brought it back to the mechanic after picking it up two days ago because it was chug chug chugging loudly when idling but then after I put in Premium gas, it stopped doing that and idled fine. I never knew that would be an issue so now not only do I have a car with bad gas mileage, I apparently have to use the most expensive gas which is a bummer. I have not had any issues with the interior or comfort but I've only been driving it for about a week total. So far the AC is awesome and I live in Florida, so, yay! My mechanic did point out rust underneath near tire, and he said the car was probably from up north, and he was right because I found receipts from the old owner and she lived in New York. Tiny crack and tiny dent on bumpers but I'm not that concerned with those minor body flaws. My mechanic told me the previous owner put in new struts and an oil change has just been done. He changed out the spark plugs which had never been replaced. At this point, as long as I don't have to fix another MAJOR part I will be OK with this purchase. P.S. to those talking about this as being "American" well it is and it isn't. My transmission apparently is Japanese. Also my father used to work for a company here in Fla. that made parts for American cars and he was laid off years ago because they decided to move the factory to China. Had to trade this car in within a year of purchasing it due to multiple problems.

NIGHTMARE!!
Bought my 2005 Equinox used, 99k on it had a thirty day warranty, got it on June 4, broke down on July 4. Head Gasket. Cost me $2100.00 Electrical issues...This vehicle is a nightmare. I have always been a chevy girl, but I think next go round I'm buying a FORD.
