Used 2017 Chevrolet Cruze Hatchback Consumer Reviews
Great car, low cost, awesome tech.
Buy the gen 2 Cruze, 2017 or newer. You'll also want the 1.4L turbo engine, my last Cruze had 181k trouble free miles on that drive train. If your budget allows definitely get the premier trim, it's well worth the cost. I really have no negative comments on this car. If you are looking for a vehicle that offers many high end options at an inexpensive price while returning impressive fuel mileage, low operating cost and outstanding reliability, then this is your car. I chose the 2017 premier hatchback, it comes equipped with heated front & rear leather seats, heated steering wheel, 8 inch touch screen my link radio, Bose sound system, turn by turn navigation and too many other options to list.

Great Surprise
Traded in a small SUV. This car is a wonderful surprise. The handling, transmission and motor provide a sports sedan feel in comparison. Great gas mileage and logical technology - the WiFi is useful. Interior and exterior are tight and attractive.

Cruise in your Cruze.
I bought a Cruze Premier hatchback new in 2017. It is totally loaded with all options. Even the back seats are heated. I can start it from my cell phone to cool it down /heat it up while I am in the mall. I have taken it to FL from ON, Canada twice. It cruises at any speed you want , legal or illegal. They could have called it the Cruze Century if you get my meaning. (WINK) In the city it has lots of pep, on the highway, you do need considerable room to pass at 50mph, on the expressways, well, be very careful. Entrance ramps are no problem. Other than lacking power I really like this vehicle. I have the Kalahari interior and always get compliments on it from new passengers. The seats could use more lower back support, but I have driven it for 9 hours straight without any real discomfort. Once you become accustomed to it, the start stop system is fine. The car engine stops unnoticeably, but does start with a wee shudder that was annoying, but if you go to YouTube you will find a way to shut it off. Strangely enough, when I edid that I missed the restarting shudder and turned it back on. It is kind of nice sitting in traffic burning no gas while the cars around you are idling their money away. It will restart itself after a set amount of time, such as at a long stoplight. FL has plenty of those! I have tried to trick the restarting system in lifting my foot off the brake and quickly pressing the gas pedal to see if I can beat the restarting system. Nope! In three years of ownership I have spent nothing in repairs and only have paid for regular maintenance. The heated steering wheel and seats are very welcome in our Canadian winters. I find the cars heats up quickly /cools down fast and the defrosting systems work well. The doors shut with a nice solid sound. No squeaks or rattles yet at all. ON STAR did work very well in the vehicle. I can recharge my computer while driving if I wish. The wireless cell phone charger works very well. Automatic high beam feature works perfectly. At a steady 77mph I get 34 mpg according to the computer. If something catastrophic happened to my Cruze, I would be out shopping for another the next day. I really enjoy the car.

Cruzin in the manual hatch
Even with a bit of a heavy foot I still get an average of 29 MPG whil driving about 90% in town. Its a solid overall car that has some great lines and can be pretty much outfit just the way you want. It's worth a drive in either Automatic or Manual. The bluetooth / apple carplay / android auto are great and make it more affordable than having to add options or go up trim levels for something so easy to replicate.

Much Better then Average
Have the Hatchback Premier the ride is quieter then Civic . More cormfotable the Madza 3. The Ford Focus needs a lot of improvement to even be in a class with the Cruze . For the money Cruze is a contender and you add the mileage savings that equals a winner
