Missing the Luxury Boat
The Luxury Flagship for GM kind'a misses the mark on quality. During the short ownership time (3.5 months) several significant mechanical issues were noted, not promptly fixed, with causes only the factory could correct (I can't blame the dealer). One issue took so long to repair even the "new - and free" loaner I had while waiting for mine to be repaired had the problem...
deville deplete your wallet
I have had four of these Cadillac DeVilles I love the way they drive more than any other car but every single one of them have had overheating problems after 60,000 miles and they are minimum 1202 $2,000 to repair so now I wouldn't advise anyone to buy one unless they want to put a lot of money into the starters let go often the heater core is let-go and they are prone to dry rot and what the aluminum engines they overheat and run hot so beware and this day and age a 6 cylinder is the answer and to heck with luxury

A great car but…
Overall this car is gorgeous and a great cruiser , super comfortable , some cool high tech features, strong engine, but it does have issues. Overall maintenance cost can be rather high as things will go wrong. Nothing so serious as to need engine replacement but just a front and rear coil pack for a tube up is gonna run you a few hundred dollars , not to mention the secondary air pump and hose assembly is gonna be a costly repair. I highly recommend buying your parts off rock auto and having a mechanic put them on for you , it will save you a lot in repair cost and will make owning the Seville a whole lot more enjoysble, be sure to have a mechanic do a complete check from bumper to bumper before you buy, if the dealer won’t allow for you to do so, walk away ! Check the car fax for the previous repairs that have been done, and make sure you check the head gaskets! This car also is GM so oil consumption is going to happen , otherwise this car is one to love if cared for properly and maintained . She will last forever if you treat her right .

auto after one year of driving (8448 miles)is in excellent shape, will be going on a 6000+ mile trip. Will know better at the end of trip-end of June
Exceptional sports car in disguise.
Drove 3yrs.(lease) The driver seat heater had to be replaced and the front dash, for buckling. The dealer did so with no hassle. Great car. Great performance. It's like driving a racecar/sportscar in disguise, because you have all the luxury too. Cadillac is exceptional with latest technology. I grew to love and depend on the backup sensors. They even go off if someone is walking behind your car and you don't see them yet. The only reason I'm changing vehicles is this model change doesn't allow the front seat to extend back far enough to allow my 6'2" husband the leg room he needs to drive comfortably. He loves the passenger seat though!!
Love my DTS!
I have always had Cadillac Sevilles, this is my 1st DeVille. I love the interior of the DTS it reminds me of the Seville.
