Deville not bad
Owned since new, mostly normal maintanence, brakes, tires, tuneup. Little warranty issues since new. Expensive dealer repairs were fuel pump at 135K and Air suspension compressor at 115K. Uses a quart of oil every 200-600 miles, more so as it got older.
Concours is hard to beat
The 99 Concours is the 2nd one i've owned in 2 yrs. Both were top notch vehicles in the way of confort and performance. The supprising thing about this Caddy is the fuel economy. I averaged just under 26 mpg on the open road. For a 300hp northstar thats pretty fair. One complaint is the the pull on steering during quick accelerations. Otherwise the Concours is a pleasure to drive. It's not your grandaddys caddy

Best car I've ever had!
I have been driving for over 60 years, and this1999 Cadillac Deville is the BEST car I've ever owned. It has been completely trouble-free. It has held it's appearance beautifully. (Of course, I wash it regularly and garage it at home).
What A Pain To Fix
The fan blower needed replaced, the North Star uses 1QT of oil every 1000 miles!! It is not burned or leaked out, Cold AC blowes out driver vents and extreme heat on passenger side!! Dealer cant find anything wrong?? Read a review where the rear axel can need $1500 in repairs at 65000, In turnes the wheel shudders, drifts on road from power shifts between front wheels, passenger side air-bag was recalled because of unintentional discharges, radio reception is terrible, GM should have gotten all of the problems worked out of this car before the 1999 end of production for this style. I know now why they changed!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If Darth Vader Needed an Automobile
I'm a big guy and needed a big guy, but I didn't want to sacrifice performance. The Concours was the answer. Great roominess, fantastic power, loads of features, sweet-looking interior.
Love my cadilac car!!!
This car is a joy to drive, is very elegant, and is a status car. However, this baby can drink some gasoline. So if you're gonna get a cad, a caddy, a cadilac car, please be prepared to shell out some money for gasoline.
Great car
Cadillac got it right with this car....
Classic Style, Comfort and Power
I'm a 34 year old male and love my '99 Cadillac Concours (black/black). This is my second Cadillac, I'm hooked! I will keep this baby running in tip-top shape for as long as she keeps loving me. The interior room is amazing with just the right amount of wood trim and all leather seats...beautiful. Even at 44,000 pampered miles she wants to GO, GO, GO! The Traction Control is worth its weight in gold which kept me on the road in a recent sudden down pour. I could not be more satisfied with the quality of this vehicle and the high level of service and support from my local Cadillac dealership!!
All was well, when it rained, it poured
Got the car as a gift from my parents, so mind you, you don't look a free car in the mouth. For a year and a half, it was reliable as an anvil. Went about its daily routine quietly and stately. Excellent highway vehicle and without air-conditioning on at a constant 65 miles per hour, the car got 27 mpg consistently. Comfortable seats, lots of leg room. Northstar V- 8 was the strong, silent type and I got used to it consuming about a quart of oil every 1000 miles; pretty much all northstars do the same. Then 2 weeks ago, all hell broke loose. Had to replace the entire air-conditioning system and alternator went 5 days apart, ouch! Traded it for a Honda. RIP Caddy!
Dream Car
This is truely a dream car. Bought it with 45,000 miles and got lucky it had a certified warantee 6 years, 100,000 miles that was found when doing vehicle check at dealership. Wow this is an amazing car, lots of power, all the features, and so fun to drive. I installed a CD changer ($125), most come pre-wired in truck. Also installed garage door opener in prewired overhead console($35). Both were found on e-bay. The pearl white w/ gold is so elegant.
