Best BMW X5 EVER!
I can tell you that I have purchase many car/SUVs over the best 20 years. Mostly higher end vehicles like Mercedes AMG 63, Audi SQ8, BMW X5M Competition, just to name a few. the 2024 BMW X5 40i is buy far the best vehicle out of them all!! The muscle SUVs only know how to be one thing "a BRUIT!" The 2024 BMW X5 40i is surprisingly smooth when you need it and quick when it is fun and everything in between. BMW has the X5 60M but unless you just want the badge on the back, the price difference is not worth it. The X5 40i x Drive is all you need in this class, and I promise you, with the right color (Tanzanite Blue) it turns many heads! I promise that you will fall in love like I did after your first test drive. With the full M Performance package expect MSRP to be around $84k. BMW will offer Military and First Responder discounts up to $4k. I think I am in love!!!

My worst purchase
See my video https://youtu.be/3WJkPxDlEx8. In short - the seats are literally painful. Not comfortable is the wrong word. Painful is the right one. And the quality of assembly is awful, it rattles a lot on a rough asphalt. The rest doesn't matter if you can't drive this car for more than 20 minutes.

Software blues
Great drivers car spoiled by the software. Comfortable, quiet, spacious, quick, fuel efficient, BMW. Stands for Bavarian Motor Works. That's what their good at, power trains and suspensions braking. The software creates distracted driving. Adaptive cruise menu is difficult to access if distance control needs to be modified. Other than that issue adaptive cruise with lane keep assist and auto lane change works well but can be quirky at times. Last software complaint is the car is always turning the radio on whether I’m driving or just opening the door with the ignition off. Update at 22,000 miles... Software is maddening. Probably wouldn't have purchased this car for that reason had I know how poorly designed the interface was. BMW has had a recall on the brakes for the last year. Parts for repair are unavailable still as of today. Gas mileage on the highway is outstanding for a vehicle this large.
