Used 1995 BMW 5 Series Consumer Reviews
not a singal flaw
remember that driving the ultimate driving machine is sort of like dating a super-model... and everything will fall into place
The Ultimate Driving Machine
This BMW is very reliable and fun to drive. Excellent quality and nice deep shine paint finish. Gas mileage is excellent for a heavy and 6 cyclinder car. Traction works great in wet road surface. Strong brakes. Great feedback on sterring feel. Smooth shifting automatic transmission. Deep bass on the stereo system!

still a great car
Bought the car with 140K and drove it home (eBay...1000 miles away) getting 28 MPG all the way. I thought I wanted a 540i till I saw the MPG. Kept it mainly as a road trip vehicle for a year, then started driving it daily. Here we are 2 years and 25000 miles later. My only monetary investment has been tires, brakes, a/c compressor, spark plugs and a radiator. Not bad for a car with 166,000 miles. Still runs very strong, corners like a dream, great curb appeal. My wife tries to trade vehicles with me on an almost daily basis (Grand Cherokee Overland). The valets all ask me to let them know when I may be selling it!
1995 BMW 525i
This car was lot of fun to drive when it worked. I owned it for nearly 6 years and it broke down quite often. Radiator changed twice, got new shocks/struts at 100k, Battery changed twice, Differtial system replaced, had to replace stereo under warranty, rear lights blew up very often, and so on.
Best value for used sedan
First-time bimmer owner. Amazed at the quality of the ride, drive, and fit of the car. No wonder auto mags rave about this company. Gotta drive to understand. Handling is its top feature - road-holding tightness and smoothness of the inline 6 is amazing.
