Best wagon I've ever owned - Hands down
Purchased my wagon used from a local dealer after selling my Subaru Outback. I was turned off initially by the stiff steering, but now I am hooked with the "driving experience" this car gives - including the seemingly stiff steering. Being in Colorado, I experience many different driving conditions ranging from hot 100 degree dry days down to subzero and totally ice covered roads. This wagon has exceeded my expectations, and outperforms any of my previous Subaru's AWD systems. This car inspires confidence in any driving condition, and the attention to detail and level of engineering is outstanding.
Great car
Great car, I bought my wagon with 91k miles on it and it still drives fantastic. The only issu is the intermittent coolant light that is driving me crazy. Otherwise it still corners, accelerates, and is comfortable as new.

BMW = Practical
Wife and I had our first kid and dumped a minivan for the BMW wagon. She loves everything about this car. The AWD is good in the snow and 2 Britax car seats fit comfortably in the back with the armrest down. With enough space to pack all the kiddie stuff in the rear, my wife loves the ride, stability, safety, and overall ride of the wagon. Who's kidding... I love driving it too.
Fun-to-drive and practical
My wife & I bought our blue 325iT certified pre-owned and have been extremely happy with the car. (And at CPO pricing, almost a bargain.) The car is as fun to drive as the 325 sedan and even sticks better in the curves due to its slight rearward weight bias and lowered suspension. At freeway speeds, we get 32 mpg! (City fuel economy, tho, is a poor 18 mpg.) Rear seat area is adequate but not spacious but we find the rear cargo area just fine (if you need to carry a 70-inch TV, maybe you need a bigger wagon). The Premium Package is superb - very luxurious and power-everything - get it. Fit and finish are also superb and our reliability has been pretty rock solid. A fabulous car.
WOW !!
This is my very first BMW!! But it WILL not be the last! The handling on the highway, especially in traffic and through the endless construction zones surrounded by trucks, is incredible! I feel safe like never before, and driving is actually FUN!!
The perfect car
We've had this car since August 2003, with European delivery. It is by far the best, most fun car I've ever driven, including our 1996 Infiniti I30. On the Autobahn it cruises at 120 mph effortlessly. Even at that speed, it accelerates immediately. Handling is superb, the optional Harmon Kardon stero magnificent. I could not be happier!
All-Wheel Driving pleasure
I bought a new 2003 325Xi AWD touring wagon to replace the 328 converible I had owned for four years. Although it doesn't have the drop top, it is as much a pleasure to drive and drives like a sports car rather than a wagon. As expected, the BMW acceleration, braking, fit and finish are absolutely first rate. And having already driven one full nasty Canadian winter with the AWD system, I can firmly say that this is the most versatile and comfortable car I have ever owned. Yes, a bit more pricey than many....but WELL WORTH IT!
Fits the bill
We have two kids and my wife likes to zoom. We got our 325iT built for us, including PP and sport package... and a manual transmission. We wanted something that can haul groceries or just haul. This is that wagon. It drives like a 325i sedan. Damn fun on the highway. Fun as well on twisty roads. Only downside is the rear seat can only seat two with kid car seats. Wish the cargo area were larger, but honestly that might make it lumbering. I wouldn't want to upset the balance of this jewel!
Funtastic Drive
I drove a 5 series wagon for five years and decided I would like a smaller car. Every time I took my 5 series in for service I was given a 3 series to drive. Once I got the 325xi Sport I was pleasantly surprised at how great a car it is. The car handles like a dream and has decent pickup. I always drive in sport mode as I did with my old 5 series. The only complaint I have had about the car if from my wife who thinks the seats are to hard. I would also like to have the keyless entry system activate from farther away from the car like the system on the 5 series.
excellent
it is a very good car that people should enjoy.
Worth the wait
Took delivery in Munich on Oct 17 and dropped off in Frankfurt Nov 7 after 8 countries and 4,400 miles. Now have 5,300 miles and absolutely no problems nor complaints. The 325iT has sport package and 5-speed manual and handles beautifully. Another 187 miles of splendid mountain roads today with 3 adults and a dog---26.53 MPG with spirited driving. If you are into status, buy a Benz. If you just love to drive, get a Bimmer.
Best small station wagon I have owned
Great performance. Brisk acceleration and a feeling of complete control in handling.Somewhat limited cargo carrying space. Better value than Mercedes, Audi or Volvo. Best way to buy is to order with features you really need as car comes pretty well equipped with standard features.
Best value BMW makes
This car replaces our aging SUV and it was a welcome replacement. EVERYTHING on this car is first-rate and driving it is a joy. The color, fit and finish are superb. The interior is identical to our 328 until you get past the back seat and then you have even more room! The car handles very well with little roll and great cornering. Driving at speed on the freeway is especially enjoyable. This wagon is smart, practical, fun and very much a BMW. Everyone who has seen it up- close has commented on what a surprise it is -- this is one versatile and beautiful car!
Don't get to close
Front paint chips easier than most cars. Dealer tacked on $1K as "Total vehicle protection" on the sticker which was a total scam. Very little thought put into cup holder placement. No leg room in rear seats even for kids. Get the 330xi(T) for the performance!
Just loven it
You can ask for a better car than this one!!!
Worth the Money
Car is extremly fun to drive, can only imagine how the 330xi handles. Interior is luxurious with the premium package, and is well designed not to interfere with driving experience. But, there is almost no storage space inside. With the 325xi, you feel like you can handle any turn or obstacle in the road. Looked at the G35 which has nice power, but for the overall package the BMW 3-series is the way to go.
Velvet Rails
This car is glued to the road. I didn't want an SUV, yet I needed some cargo space and all wheel drive, and a Subaru just didn't do much for me. As soon as I drove the BMW I was hooked. It has a great stereo, decent cargo capacity with the seats folded down, and has been getting over 25 MPG. And the handling! I live in the mountains, and the car is just amazing. Even when going into a turn very hot, as long as you keep your foot on the gas pedal, the sliding is minimal. Truely amazing. If you chicken out and let off the gas, it will slide though. I have no regrets.
Glued to the road
The BMW XI is an ubeleivably good handling car. The sport package is a must though. Without it you can feel that the car is a station wagon in corners, but with the sport package the ability of the car to carve a corner even after going beyond the tire's ability to grip is breathtaking. It may not be a rocket ship in the straight lines, but if the road is snaking nice and tight, that WRX can't get away.
BMW
This vehicle surpasses all other sedans without question. BMW continues its legacy as the ultimate driving machine.
I love this car
I absolutely love this car. I've owned it for only 3.5 months, but its my second BMW (I also own a 2002 X5), and this is one of the most enjoyable cars I've ever driven. I wish they offered the M3 in an AWD version, as I would have bought that for the extra power; but don't let the stated hp mis-lead you, as this car provides more than enough acceleration to make for a very enjoyable ride. I shopped this against the Audi A4 and A6 Quatro's and the Infinity AWD model, but you simply can't beat BMW on performance and handling - I highly recommend this car.
LOVE MY BIMMER
EXCELLENT PERFORMING VEHICLE THAT GETS BETTER MILEAGE THE HARDER YOU DRIVE IT. THE STEPTRONIC TRANSMISSION IS THE KEY TO FUEL EFFICIENCY ON CITY OR MOUNTAIN DRIVING. LOVE THIS CAR. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS AFTER DRIVING FOR 5 HOURS THE SEATS IN THE 325I REALLY START HURTING THE BACK. NO LUMBAR SUPPORT. OVERALL RATING IS HIGH.
A Great All-Rounder
Our first BMW. It's difficult to summarize why we love this car so much - let's just say it does everything well. All the components work together perfectly. Athletic and refined at the same time. Driving it can be relaxed or exciting - you choose. Options can add up quickly, but do yourself a favor and spring for heated seats and park distance control. The stock halogen headlights are the best I've ever used - no need for Xenons in my opinion. The 2.5 liter engine's fine above 2500 rpm and absolutely loves to run at highway speeds.
well...
My wife loves it. It is very important.
