Ultimate Hauling Machine
I bought a used 328GT M Sport with 22Kmiles on it and now have almost 60K miles. I am over 6’ and have tall kids. As a Dad it hauls kids and stuff. As a Real Estate Agent it carries people and stuff - signs, staging furniture, etc. As a tailgater I can put 30 cases of beer in the back. Fuel efficient, great performance. Not a boring SUV. I drive it like it is stolen and have not been able to break it. I love my fat bottom Beemer. Buy one and you’ll love it too.

My first BMW, quite impressed
Well first of all, I heard they are dropping the 3 series GT. That is a shame. I own a 2018 330 GT and my wife has a 340 GT with the M package. We both love the versatility of the hatchback body, the very roomy interior and the performance. I drive my 330 daily, averaging 2500 miles a month. MPG is at 31.2 and still climbing. We take her 340 out on the weekends. Not quite as fuel efficient but tons of thrust always available. I have owned SUVs in the past so if they dropped this great car to sell more SUVs, shame on BMW. These are actually built on a 5 series platform and are bigger and roomier than a 430 Gran Sport. I suggest you grab a low mile used or, better yet, a factory demo like we did while you can. Awesome car!

Powerful, safe and fun to drive.
Coming from a 335xi the handling is not as precise but aftermarket performance wheels and tires help a lot.

Rocket Daily Driver
Let me preface by saying that I’ve driven a lot of cars. As a huge research nerd, I like to know my options. I’ve owned Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Toyota, and driven a lot more. If you’re looking for comfort, get a Lexus. If you want overall value and balance, get an Audi. If you want to overpay, get a Mercedes. But if you’re looking for a true performance daily driver, the only option is a BMW. Not a ton of interior or tech frills, although it has most of what you desire. Not the most comfortable ride and not the quietest cabin. However, it is by far the most fun to drive out of any daily driver I’ve ever had.

Moving up
I traded my 2008 320i with sport suspension and now I feel like I am in a corner diving driving machine! The suspension, in this 2018 330i GT is soft, even in sports mode, and required me to make a drastic change in how I drive my car. I do love the cargo space and the new driving aides (back-up camera, lane assist, LED headlights, etc.). Looking for a way to firm up the suspension, may need some “M” equipment.
Incredible Car - Daily Driver? - Up to You
Like stated in the title, the car is fantastic in so many ways, however, there's a few things that would make me question as to whether or not this is an ideal daily driving vehicle. I live in Canada where the winter's can get pretty bad, I'll say right off the bat that the frameless windows are a horrible design and I wish I didn't have them. When it snows the windows sills usually freeze, and more so often, the window freezes stuck and will not lower that half an inch the way it should. It feels like the window is going to shatter one day when closing the door, and it sounds horrible too. Another thing to note is that the car does sit relatively low on the ground, I noticed that on longer road trips, the car wasn't clearing those small snow rocks or rubble on the ground, instead I'd hit it bang on and in one instance, cause a nasty scratch to the front bumper. It also gives me occasional problems when heating up in the super cold climates, the engine needs to give for an extra 5 seconds to ignite, the drivetrain error message pops up, and the gas burns horrifically while heating up. For road tripping, it's definitely a very decent option, I can fit my one piece fishing rods, coolers, sleeping bags and all that jazz. However that being said there could definitely be more room as found in other crossovers. But when comparing it to other "cars" it's probably the best in its class for space and storage. The back-seats have a ton of space and the heated seats are a nice option. For driving, it has a lot of kick to it, I can feel the power in my stomach on some take-offs, so definitely a pleasure to drive. The xDrive technology definitely makes me feel way more confident when I'd take it through icy roads, it's never slipped on me. So all in all, if I was living somewhere where winters are non-existent, and if I wasn't an avid traveler and adventure seeker, I probably wouldn't have any complaints. But I do think for sure that this car suits specific drivers, and if you're anything like myself who cares a lot for practicality, you can probably get into something that makes a lot more sense. If I could afford it, I would have this car as my summer cruiser in a heartbeat, but currently my income says otherwise lol and I need something that's going to give me the best of both worlds on style, performance AND most importantly practicality. If you're looking for practicality and cost efficiency I highly recommend checking out the X1 and X2 models, they are very fairly priced and will be a lot more fuel efficient and spacious to drive. The X2 will have a lot of the traits found in the sedans whereas the X1 will look like a baby X5.
