It's a great vehicle. I purchased it post the emissions fix so can't say how it drove before. There are a fair bit of complaints about the driving characteristics compared to how they were before, but fortunately for me, I don't know how it drove before. For me, it's been great. It's our fuel efficient commuter and I love the AWD and size of the vehicle. I have a third party warranty as well as the emissions warranty remaining but when that is up, I will be doing the emissions system delete as well as the transmission control module re-tune, both options are aftermarket and both options increase reliability and drivability making it far more reliable, far more fun to drive and more fuel efficient. We really like it, feels very safe for hauling our family around including an 8 month old and it's an absolute blast on the highway - cruising at highway speeds and passing on the highway is an absolute breeze. The Touareg's are a bit nicer inside, without a doubt. My mother has a 2015 Touareg and compared to our 2015 Q7 the interior is definitely superior on the Touareg. We had no preference as to which one we were looking to get of the two, we just wanted something with lower mileage and a 2013+ for the extra horsepower (240 vs 225). Update January 2024 - vehicle has been sold but never gave me any issues. Living in Canada, I was able to remove the emissions systems which made the vehicle far more reliable and it was a pleasure to drive. Lots of power, great efficiency and very stable. At the end of the day, the outdated interior and tech kind of pushed me to sell it for something newer. But it was a great vehicle and I do miss it.

Very well pleased with a 2015 Audi Q7 Prestige TDI, my only two complaints are with the turbo lag and the rear view mirrors are not automatically folding.

She sails down the highway, such a smooth ride! Looking forward to really putting her to the test after all the snow melts :).
