Wonky electronics (and two recalls) = bad choice
I'm six months into the Q5 and - unfortunately - wish I hadn't gotten this car. First, the electronics in this car are awful - Audi REALLY wants you to use MMI, even though CarPlay is better. So if there are multiple phones in the car, it's not easy to choose the right one. If you connect one through Bluetooth and plug it in to charge, it will completely disconenct from the phone. It's maddening. There's no good place to set down a large phone in the car. The slot they have looks like it will fit an iPhone 4. So get used to giving up a drink holder and/or having the phone fly all over the car (it's happened several times.) The regenerative braking on this car is awful - it's not even close to one-pedal driving. It seems like they didn't want to give up the service revenue from brake jobs. The electrical plug on this car (one of the recalls, as it can catch your house on fire) is always confusing to disengage. The pickup -for an "S" Audi with an electric engine - is surprisingly awful. The electric range is 30 miles or so (which is about 80% of our usage.) Limited, but passable. All in all, this car shows all of its compromises...and not in a good way. I really wish we had picked another vehicle - one that seems committed to electric power rather than the slapdash approach of Audi.

Absolutely love my Audi
This is my first Audi. I’ve heard a lot of people say once you buy an Audi be prepared to own them for life, because you will never want to drive or own anything else. Now I can see why Whenever I get in the car, I’m all smiles, there’s just something about the Audi Q5 that makes me happy. It is without a doubt the best car I have ever owned. It’s luxury done right at every detail with just the right amount of space. Need to get somewhere quick oh my God. If you need to move, this is the quickest car. I have seen in all those that I have test driven. Sure it’s not a Lamborghini or Ferrari but it’s just as quick or quicker than the rival model, Mercedes or BMW. My wife and family feels the same way whenever we get in it. It’s just perfect. There’s just something about owning an Audi.

More horsepower with excellent ergonomic design
Traded in our Q3 for a 2024 Q5 S-line 45 with all the options. Two months use so far and I am impressed (again) with Audi’s attention to ergonomics throughout the car (cockpit, controls, seats, etc.). This is our 7th Audi and we have never been disappointed with German engineering and finish. Audis aren’t cheap to maintain but they perform at a high level for a long time if you take care of them.
