One cool car

After four years of owning my A6 I still love it and people still take notice. Its understated, subtle and classy. The Black w/ Black interior really sets off the instrument panel. On the interstate I can run as fast as my hear will stand it even though its a 6cyl. I can't see buying any other but another one of these.

We love the car, but the repairs, my god the repairs. First off NEVER BUY LEITH IMPORTS. They will do nothing for you after you buy the car. We bought the car used, and had our guy look at it. A few things that needed fixing. Audi Assured. They never fixed a few things. They said they did. We bought the car. Soon later a few things didnt seem right. They said "within manufactures specs." unture. they lied. One of the things was the head lights (Xeons) would flicker, "within manufactures specs.", the whole headlight needed to be rewired. $2k if I remember correctly. Never trust Audi of Cary North Carolina.

Bought the car used with 52k, looks great, love the interior, but poor reliability. Within the last 10 months I have had a transmission leak ($320), engine oil leaks ($1,000), cruise control module ($525), transmission relay ($520) and the digital display is fading. I plan on trading it in next week on a Nissan.

German Disappointment

Bought the car used -- still under Audi A$$urance -- and boy did we need it! Dealer tried to weasel out of almost all our issues. Our personal mechanic was more reliable than the dealer. We bought Audi because we trust German engineering (we own a 13 year old Benz that has over 225K miles - still solid as a rock!). Sorry to say .. this will be our last 2.8 A6 -- and it's interesting to see Audi now using a 3.0 in place of the 2.8 -- hmmmmmmmm.

I've owned this car since new in 1999. The car exceeds my expertations in reliability and quality. No problems to date & I get 25MPG on the highway. I just wish it had 30 more horsepower and a sport suspension.
