Beautiful Wagon
Without a doubt, the Audi A6 Avant is a stunning car to look at. Although I didn't have many problems with it, it is now out of warranty and I'm getting rid of it before it attacks me in the wallet. Too expensive to fix and I fear a transmission problem developing ("clunking" at 70+ mph. Have had to replace the tires twice in 3 years and I keep losing trim pieces: cupholders fall apart and the cover on the headlight washers have fallen of, while driving, 4 times and I've had to replace them. It is a lovely vehicle, but don't keep it past it's warranty!
Looks Nice...Falls apart
What a shame...I loved this car for the first two months...Thats when the problems started. I had it at the dealership 5 times in 10 months. Anyway, not reliable and Audi was overall indifferent to the poor quality. BEWARE
It's pretty...pretty expensive to own
I loved everything about this car, except for the true cost of ownership. I owned it for two years, and put $1000/year into maintenance. Water pump $600, Power window $400, etc. It had tons of room in cab and trunk, and lots of quality and style. Watch out for the stereo, though. If you change the battery, or there's a short, the stero locks up and you need a code to unlock it - which'll cost you $75 if you don't know it. And if you want to upgrade the stereo, you have to replace EVERYTHING (deck, speakers, wires). I loved it as long as I could afford it, but I won't buy another. P.S. make sure to get an owner's manual
