Awesome car, perfect in nearly every way, and with a price near many cars of lower quality or features it simply can't be beat. The car is a blast to drive with a slick and smooth transmission a strong economical engine, and great steering the car always asks for more. With a beautiful interior made of quality materials everywhere, the inside is bacially the most comfortable and safest vault ever. A new and sporty exterior it's good looking from basically every angle without using cheap graphics or cladding to attract your attention.

I have owned my Avant for 16 months and love it as much now as the day I bought it. It is a pleasure to drive, the most comfortable vehicle I have owned, and dependable. Although I am pushing 60 years of age now, I enjoy the power and sports-like handling this car provides. There is nothing like the way it makes you feel when you get it out on some country roads and put it through its paces!

I purchased this car in May '02. One of the major selling points has to be free maintenance 4 yr/50,000 miles. Well, let me tell you, it will come in handy. My experience with the dealership has been pleasant overall, but when I spend $35,000 for a car, I expect it to be reliable. At this price, my car shouldn't be laid up at the shop for 2 weeks. Do yourself a favor...let AUDI work out the bugs on this car and if you have your heart set on one, then by all means get behind the wheel. It is a solid, sporty and very safe car. You won't be disappointed.

Yep, another A4 with electronic problems. The washer fluid fuse has blown twice and I've had the care for one month. It's irritating enough to make me want to call the consumer hotline and research the lemon law....washer fluid affects visibility, very important for a 31 mile commute. The stick is a bit stiff, and the gears should be a bit closer together. But for the fuse problem, I would be totally enamored with my car.

I want to love this car, but the manufacturing reliability is quite poor. I've had numerous electrical problems, with the brake lights, stereo, and fuel injection. There is annoying squeaking noise in the left front suspension. The design and ergonomics of the car are outstanding, but I will never buy another Audi, because I don't trust the car will work for the long-haul and I don't want to have to take into the service department on a monthly basis.

I have had this car for a little over a year now. I drive it every day 40 miles into work and back. I t fits like a glove (and I am 6'4"), handles like a charm and the 4WD is a life saver. Be careful though on an open stretch of highway: before you know it you're going way too fast... As if this is not enough, I also like the free 4 year service plan.

I've owned this A4 for 2 years now and I am still not sure about Audi. I really like the car handling in all conditions. The Quattro system is excellent in all conditions. However, the engine power together with the auto transmission feels short on acceleration ability. Gas mileage could be better (23 mpg overall) for a car this size. I was disappointed with the reliability of this car but even more with the ability from Audi dealerships to find the issues. They replaced the throttle assembly 3 times (!) before thinking the issue could come from somewhere else (cracked plastic cover that messed the ECM box). I also had to replace the steering rack (leak) and two noisy wheel bearings (rear).

Owned my 2003 A4 for 3 1/2 months and love it. Dolphin gray inspires comments from strangers. 9k miles in less than 4 months and drove from DC to FLA. So far I'm thrilled. Handling is tight and effortless. Acceleration, particulary at high speeds, is top notch. Car is extremely comfortable - feels like settling into a cockpit, but with a luxurious surrounding. Soundsystem is beyond excellent.

The 03' Audi A4 has been a blast to drive. One word-QUATTRO! I do not think I will buy another car without AWD. Audi design is impressive. Very nice interiors. Excellent paint finishes. The 3.0 has hussle, but may be less impressive at low torque. Cons: Brakes squeek, interior wind noise at higher speeds 70-80mph. Overall awesome! Wish I had the S4!

I wanted a sports sedan with AWD. At the time, the G35x was still a few months away. The 225hp BMW330xi decently optioned was $43,000+. The BMW doesn't have an in-dash 6CD, dual climate control or a compass - garage door opener could be installed "after-market" and it costs $43,000? My 6spd 220hp A43.0Q stickered $39,000, but sold for a lot less. I had one problem with headlight washers - nothing more. I'm getting only about 20 mpg, which is pretty poor for this size car. My previous car, a '95 Nissab Maxima easily got near 25 mpg. The interior is beautiful, except for the bizarre set-up with the armrest / brake, and the worst cupholder this side of Yugo. The acceleration could be better, but I love the AWD. The transmission pretty rubbery vs. BMW

I had the top down today on the first day of spring in Chicago, and even the anti-war protesters on Michigan Ave gave admiring glances. I have 6600 miles on my red A4 cab since 12/02, mostly short hops in the city. No problems with the car at all - fit and finish were as good as my prior new cars, a Nissan 200SX and a Lexus SC300. I would recommend this car without hesitation. I considered the BMW 330i, the MB CLK 320, the Infiniti G35 coupe, and a few otehr import convertibles, and still believe that the A4 is the best combination of style, performance, and value.

My AUDI has changed the way I view other vehicles. I've had many vehicles, I've also worked in a number of collision centers, so I've been in and test driven many different vehicles. The A4 is easy to drive, the cock-pit controls are easy to understand and operate, and the steering feels as if it's extensions of your hands holding to the road. Power is precise with a large torque power-band, less down-shifting and more go pedal. The car feels firmly planted in all aspects of driving, cruising down the highway to ripping around a high-way on-ramp. I've personally put other high-end car drivers to shame with my A4 1.8T quattro, most of which had I6's or V6's. I'm always leading, never following!

This is my first car purchase and I am deeply impressed with the exceptional service I have received (so far). The dealer (and Audi) both were very gracious and accommodating in helping me through this process and they bent over backwards to give me a great deal. If they keep this up, Audi will have my business again for many years to come… The styling is OUTSTANDING. You can tell that Audi used quality materials on this car. I bought a Dolphin Grey A4 and I turn heads everywhere I go! Audi knows how to make a classy looking car. Also this car is a compact and can fit into tight spaces, but you’d never know by its roomy trunk and interior.

This cabriolet with the 3.0L power plant and the awesome handling of the Audi suspension and body design has been very impressive. We have driven a lot of highway miles on it and find it to be comfortable at the end of a 700 mile day, quite a statement for a sports rated vehicle and unlike any that we have had before. If you buy one beware it is addictive. If you have one you already know.

I bought this car for my wife and an S6 Avant for myself. Both are great cars. I have driven 8 Mercedes cars in the 20 years prior and now you couldn't get me to buy one if they went on sale for 25% off. I only wish I had waited and gotten quattro in the A4 Cabriolet. It was not offered at the time I purchased the '03. Also...I would have been happy with the later issued A 4S Cab. My S 6 Avant has spoiled me. I can't wait to buy my next one...and think I may get an A3 for my son's college graduation. Audi rocks

Audi Quattro provides excellent traction on wet and snow covered roads. Beautiful interior with high quality materials. Car has been back to dealer four times for a rattle in the exhust, only appears on cold days. Also car has developed a problem in the ignition, warning alarm will not shut off when car is turned off and then car won't lock.

I bought this car on accident, I was on my way to buy a 325ci, but I saw the 2002 A4 and that’s all she wrote. For those of you who live in Southern Cal, try Topanga Cyn. The grip is remarkable! If you think you're too hot into a corner, press the gas! Amazing! That’s a move I could NEVER do in my GTI! It brings a tear to the eye.

Smooth ride and thrill when turbo kicks-in. Interior electronics and design is superior quality and standards are much more than any other luxury car has.

Prior to this purchase, I had looked at the BMW 330i, Lexus IS300, & Infinity G35. The exterior/interior quality, performance, and amenities make the A4 the best choice. The CVT provides quick acceleration; the premium package offers great comfort. I can't say enough about the sports package which makes this car a joy to drive. I love the automatic heated and dimming sideview mirrors, dual climate zone, fully automatic seats, and Bose sound system. This car is SOLID!!

After approximately ten months of driving both long distance and city absolutely nothing has caused me to doubt the wisdom of this purchase. The car has performed perfectly with not a single thing to report under the blanket coverage warranty. The only design flaw detected is that the rear head rests rob some of the rear view vision. Easily solved by removing them to the sizable trunk, held down by the thoughtfully provided netting. The car- -which replaced a Mercedes--has won me over to Audi for its exellence all around.

Nice car and has all the extras, but needs more power. The inside is spectacular and looks so nice at night when it is all lit up. Bose stereo is good, but no like a Harmon Kardon or a Mark Levinson in a rivial sedan. Fun to drive, but just not as fun as my old BMW. My openion is, this car is nice, has plenty of options and extras, but if you can afford it buy a BMW 3 series because it is a better vehicle and funner to drive. I promise!

My BMW X5 had constant niggling breakdowns. The A4: otally reliable. Fantastic acceleration. The car will go as fast as you can stand to drive it, in any weather, although with a little less grace (but more traction) than my ex-328i BMW. Wonderful and highly adjustable seats. Not roomy in back, but great for post-kids. Very well built (no defects, and I haven't seen my dealership since purchase!) Gas mileage, which was mediocre at first, has improved over 7K miles to what Audi says on sticker. Climate control needs to be futzed with to stay comfortable in changing outside conditions. Awesome brakes! Overall experience: fantastic with just very minor quibbles.

...becase this car is LEMON Since I purchased this car it has been towed three seperate times to the dealer for repairs. The first two times were due to faulty ignition coils. The nail in the coffin was the last time it was towed due to a spun rod bearing due to low oil pressure caused by what I was told is a not uncommon issue with the 1.8T. In addition the car has been brought half a dozen times due to other minor defects.

This car has had so many electrical problems I can't even remember all of them. Parking lights each went out one at a time requiring separate visit to dealership for each one. Bad design caused moisture to corrode the contacts. Sunroof was opening on its own and dealer finally found problem after 2 years. Headlight alignment warning light came on, was fixed and now is coming on again after out of warranty. Stereo speakers are shorted out and intermittent. Also, back window just fell out one day. Engine is good but even it had sludge issue and took three days to repair. Hood latch gets jammed and won't open. Cupholder problems - not big enough and won't even pop out of back seat armrest.

This car handles the S-curve on ramps like a dream-just down shift to 3rd or 4th, no brakes, press the gas and go. Many a times the hair on the back of my neck has stood up in amazement as to what this car can do.

WoW, what a great car. I went for the the V6 220HP because I don't like driving 4 cylinder cars for some reason. The design and performance of this car is just amazing. The power just oozes out when in tiptronic mode, it's really fun to drive. All the little gadgets are a plus, not to mention the red interior color. My A4 lacks some comfort, but only because I went with the sports suspension. If you want more comfort, don't get this option. Otherwise, it's grrreat!!

picking a car is similar to when you are about to ask a girl out =) I have to admit~i've looked around~you consider all the options and test drive all of them because these are not a cheap car. I have to say,you can not make a wrong choice with modles. But you have to ask yourself, what are the key things that you really want? I bought a Audi because its cheaper than bmw 3 and you get a lot more for the money, which includes 4 wheel drive system. I have yet to determine if i made the right choice or not~based on the reliability of this car. the key! research~research~and test drive all of them

This is an excellent vehicle for the price. I went from a SUV to the Avant and don't regret it one bit. Especially when I fill tank. Just buy some racks and put all the toys on top. The trunk is also just a littl to small to fit golf clubs in the back. So I just fold down one of seats. Although I am a bit concern now since after 18000 miles a oil leak on the cam seal was discovered. I just hope this is not an on-going issue. Other than that a very reliable car.

After looking at MB c240, BMW 330ci and the Audi 1.8t I finally bought a 2003 3.0, Quattro, 6 spd and can I just tell everyone, it's probably the best car I have ever driven. I mean, the BMW was nice... but not worth the extra cash (plus the interior of the Bimmer is bland). The c240 was solid, but wasn't much fun to drive. Moreover, the interior looked like someone just started sticking stuff on the dash (very poor layout) My suggestion is to take the plunge, get the Audi, you won't be disappointed (but an Assured car might be a good idea... just in case).

so far, so excellent! went with 2003 after after unable to find all options i wanted on remaining 2002... dolphin gray exterior is understated yet very elegant (much positive feedeback regarding this color)... steering wheel on 3.0 quattro now comes with radio control buttons... i happen to love the "sport" suspension, but if your goal is a "cushy" ride, don't get it... finding myself coming up with errands to run as an excuse to drive the car (!)

the car drives well and handling is great but it does need a little more power for the turbo.
