What a Shame
I absolutely love the look of this car and it handles fantastic at highway speed, but sadly, it gave me problems since the day I drove it off the lot 2 years ago and I'm about to trade it in for a different German make. First off, this is NOT meant to be a city vehicle and the ride on bumpy city streets destroys the car and the interior rattles like crazy as a result. It is maddening for me and not what I expected from a "luxury vehicle". I have to turn the radio up to drown out the noise. Next, the moon roof area squeaks and rattles after every rain. Only after rain! Next, when the engine is cold the transmission shifts into gear REALLY HARD. Like whiplash hard. Why? Audi could never explain this. Next, one of my vents would blow ice cold while the others blew hot. Sometimes I had to turn the temp all the way up to get any heat at all. Finally, my experience with the dealership service department at multiple locations was horrendous in acknowledging any of these issues. The response was either "it's normal" or they would replace something completely random under warranty to justify their time spent "troubleshooting".

This car is a beast!
I bought my A3 back in 2019 with 64k miles. I purchased the Premium Plus model with the virtual cockpit, Quattro and the B&O sound system (a must-buy; I wouldn't purchase it without it). This car HAULS, and the AWD makes it so quick off of the line. There are few cars that beat me off of the line, and I love it. It's also very sturdy. My fiance ran over a metal support beam on the highway in the middle of the desert at over 80mph (think building support) while I was asleep, and the car handled it like a champ. There was a huge thud, and the tire light came on. We pulled over and we saw that the beam knocked out both tires and cracked the rear rim. All of this, and she was able to maintain control of the car as if nothing had happened. I got a flat tire when I was racing someone at 155mph (stage 1 removed the governor) and same thing... never lost control. I now have 138k miles on the car and have had only minor issues. The first was a leaking fluid reservoir ($20 from the Audi dealership) and a misfire issue due to a bad spark plug. The only thing I have a complaint about is the start/stop system. It's very jerky.. not sure how they messed that up. Stage 1 upgrade has it disabled on startup, and I never turn it on. Also, start/stop apparently doesnt care too much about battery drain as my battery has died twice while parked. One more mention... Oddly, if the start/stop is activated and the car is 'off', taking off the seatbelt stops it from turning back on. This is especially dangerous in traffic, and the car doesn't do a good job of letting you know why it all of a sudden won't start again! Very poor design on Audi's part. Other than that, the car is amazing. I have people offering to buy it off of me weekly. With all of the miles the car has now, I drive it less because I feel like I'm pushing my luck. It still pulls as hard as it ever did, and everything works flawlessly. Maintenance has always been cheap. It's amazing to think that I got this lucky with a German vehicle. I highly recommend this car to anybody, and it's my favorite car I've ever owned. If I wasn't spring for a Plaid, I'd definitely go for an RS3 as my next car.

Transmission needed replaced and it was 14,000 !!
I was very disappointed that my college age daughter bought her car and in less than 2 months the transmission needed to be replaced. We have driven Fords for many years and tons of mileage and never had an issue or been left stranded.

Amazing Vehicle
Best car I have ever owned and driven. It exceeds my expectations. It’s the quietest convertible I’ve ever been in and the digital cockpit will blow you away.

Look under the trunk mat!
My 2018 Audi A3 Quattro convertible did not come with either a spare or a donut. I was never told that during the sales pitch. The dealer did not have the exact car that I wanted, so I was given a demo car for a test drive. There was no window sticker. Every car I've ever owned, including a Fiat, a Capri, a previous Audi, several Mazdas, and several Toyotas, all came with full-size spares or usable donuts, and so it never occurred to me to ask about the A3 convertible. Unfortunately, I've had two unrepairable flat tires in less than18 months. I had to buy new tires each time. The first flat was a slow leak, and there was sufficient pressure left that I could get to the Audi dealer down the road. I had not purchased the car from this dealer. The tire could not be repaired, and I had to buy a new tire. The second flat happened so quickly that I had to have the car towed to a tire store, and a replacement tire had to be ordered. It did not come in until the next day, and I was without the car for over 24 hours for what used to be a 30 minute tire change. I now am in a continuing dispute with the Audi dealer that sold me the car for not disclosing the fact that no usable tire or donut was included. As noted earlier, the tires could not be repaired, so the spray sealant and pump that came with the car would have been of no use anyway. To make matters worse, the Pirelli tire folder that came with the car included language in bold that "PIRELLI TIRE DOES NOT ENDORSE (1) the use of sealants in Pirelli tires to repair, even temporarily, a puncture; **" So much for Audi customer service.
