Overview

The 2025 Aston Martin DBX707 is the Aston for fans of the British sports car brand who need more passenger and cargo space than a DB12 or Vantage can offer. This five-seat super SUV packs a Mercedes-AMG-derived twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that produces a copious 697 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. If you're wondering where the "707" comes from, that's how much the DBX makes in metric horsepower. But even though it's not officially a member of the 700 club in the U.S., the DBX is plenty quick. Aston Martin estimates it can hit 60 mph from a standstill in just 3.1 seconds. In addition to exceptional straight-line speed, the DBX delivers impressive handling for an SUV, world-class ride quality, and a luxurious interior all wrapped in sleek, shapely hand-built Aston Martin bodywork.
Edmunds spotlight: What a difference an interior makes
For 2025, Aston Martin has thoroughly revised the DBX's cabin, giving it an improved dashboard and center console design and a much-needed infotainment system overhaul. Also redesigned are the door panels and steering wheel, which gains Mercedes-like touch-sensitive controls. The center console has been reworked to be more user-friendly, with the previous push-button gear selector replaced with a physical (though still electronic) shift lever. But the biggest change is the new 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is more responsive, easier to navigate, and higher-resolution than the old system. It also comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto smartphone integration and has a new 360-degree camera display that shows a 3D view of the vehicle for easier parking.
Competitors to consider
The DBX belongs to the exotic luxury performance SUV class, a category that was once unimaginable but continues to grow thanks to an insatiable appetite for ultra-premium-branded sport-utes. Some of the five-seat Aston Martin's rivals include the Ferrari Purosangue, Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan. But perhaps its biggest competitor is the vehicle that set the benchmark for the class more than 20 years ago: the Porsche Cayenne. More specifically, the DBX competes with the top-trim Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, which makes 729 horsepower and can travel roughly 20 miles on battery power.
