Love my MDX
I have owned my 2022 MDX tech model for about 9 months now and I love the car.Traded in my 2017 caddy XR5. The caddy had some features that are lacking in the MDX such as heated steering wheel and remote start, also the caddy was more adgile and had more engine power(310 HP). The cons for the MDX: the tire noise is excessive, and the tech items have a big learning curve, After a while the tech items become easier to operate. The pros for the MDX, nice styling in and out. comfortable ride. I have the metallic red color and the paint job is beautiful (Have had many compliments on the paint),The inside is very roomy,3rd row seats are good for kids, no glitches as of yet except for the audio system cutting out from time to time. Glad I bought the car when I did because the price has gone up about $5000 Over all the car is a winner. I have had many different cars over the years and this one is the best.

Great value
I have now leased a new 2022 MDX with Tech pkg for 18 months. I am a bit disappointed in the tech this model offers. One, I can't read the small infotainment screen during the day. Sure its 12 inches, but that is the diagonal dimension. It is only some 5 or 6 inches from top to bottom and 1/4 of screen is partitioned so you don't get the full 12 inches for your nav system. Just not bright enough to see the screen during the day when the sun is shining. The laptop system to move around the screen is a joke. You have to look away from the road to see what you are doing on the touch pad to be able to see the screen. Not a very safe thing to do. I think the ergonomics is poorly laid out. There are no areas for trays to put anything when you are driving. I had a Honda Pilot that I traded in for the MDX. I got better mileage and much quicker acceleration with the Pilot. Substantially better performance. Like 1 second faster to 60 mph, and 1.5 mpg better whether in city or on the hwy. You have to use high test gas on the MDX and don't get the results of high performance. Now I will say the MDX is a firmer ride, better handling and more luxury than my old Pilot. Is that enough to buy again? Not for me. Sorry. Ok, now that I have lived with my MDX for 3 plus years I have enjoyed the quiet tide, great handling and a very good cruiser on highway. The problem reading infotainment screen was solve by me getting cataracts surgery. I still dislike using pad on console for media screen. Nav system free update just doesn't work. Had dealer try, still can't do. Has a great resale value, so I purchased my MDX after lease expired. Will drive another year b4 replacement. I now have owned my mdx for 4 years. Have enjoyed the great ride and decent mileage. 21 mpg city and 27 mpg on hwy..Terrific handling. A great cruiser on trips. I traded mdx in after 4 years and received $3,000 more than what I purchased it for off lease one year ago. So overall, I would highly recommend the mdx for it's great handling, enjoyable ride and dependable performance. The new mdx has fixed the poorly designed controls for the multimedia system.

Dissapointing and Not Luxurious
The piano black plastic all over the dash ages terribly. The sun is reflecting one moment in your eyes and then the next showing dust, fingerprints and scratches all over. Not luxurious. They increased the weight on this new gen MDX by 400lbs compared to the prior gen, but kept the old V6 powering it. While I love the 3.5L V6, this is the first application where I've drove it and it feels underpowered. The MDX is simply to heavy now for the 3.5L to be quick or quiet. The lack of a touchscreen still bothers me especially for Apple Carplay. Last time I will buy a vehicle based on the reviews. A Hyundai Tuscan has a nicer interior and better tech than this. I will be trading this MDX in early. What a dissapointment.

Best Value on the Road
You will not find a better value for the money. These cars are so well built & equipped, it's hard to believe that the price is not much higher.
