Sure has been fun!
I bought my 92 Acura Integra LS in 1994 with 54,000 miles on it - Now 10 years later we have over 352,000 miles...and its still going strong. Yes, the engine is not as great as it once was and neither is the paint job, but I drive 166 miles everyday over the last two years and it's been one reliable vehicle. Being a female of average size, the car is very comfortable to drive. Plenty of get up a go (have a manual). Yes, I've spent some money repairing the car (Timing belt, Ac, Radiator, etc...) - however, it has served me well and has been better for me than another car payment. I do recommend synthetic oil for a long wearing engine!
Gods chariot
Car shakes a lot causing body panels to rattle, but thats probably due to the 3 frontal accidents and the one rear end accident. We had to change the oil pump at 85k miles and the transmission is starting to slip. BUt this is due to lack of needed transmission fluid. OEM speakers sound pretty good.
Definition of reliable
Bought this car used with 260,000 km's on it, drove it for 2 years and all I had to do was change the oil and put gas in it. Amazingly reliable car. This thing will run forEVER. Handles great, got 27-32 mpg no matter how hard I drove it. A/C stopped working but that was no big deal.
GREAT CAR
BEST CAR WE EVER OWNED. FUN TO DRIVE GREAT FUEL ECONOMY SOLID RIDE
92 GS
loving it ever since it came out...the best body style...excellent motor..fully loaded...the best car i ever had...EVER
Love this car
After 10 years and 100K miles it's still fun to drive because it handles great and has lots of power. Sporty handling is strong, tight and clean. Still looks sexy and almost like new. Trunk carries plenty. Never any serious problems.
'92 Acura Integra GS
This has been very reliable vehicle. 10 years old and still looks stylish. Very nice highway ride, quiet. No major mechanical problems, very little rust.
300000 and still going strong.
My black GS was the first new car and quite posssibly the best car I will have ever owned. I drove this car in the heat of Texas summers and I drove it very hard. I put over 300,000 miles on it before I traded it in for a CL, should have kept the Integra. The only things I ever had to change, other than oil, was my timing belt at 115,000 and 215,000( original equip always) and a couple of clutches ( my first standard too) and finally the radiator and fans. Now if you ask any mechanic they will tell you that IS a very ipressive record. I recommend this car to anyone who likes reliablity and to drive.
Great Car
This was my first Acura and it has been nothing but a wonderful car. It has a very quick 1.8 liter motor. And with minor performance upgrades will striaght up haul.
Fun Car
This was my second car, my first Acura. The build quality is great on the car. I bought it from a dealership with only 55,000 miles in 2004. Great reliability as long as you keep up with regular maintenence schedule. Unfortunately mine wasn't so I am playing catch up; although it has never left me stranded. Lots of mods available and classic Honda looks.
1992 Integra GS-R
Bought new, and haven't found anything that can replace it yet. Fun to drive, excellent reliability, still stylish looks.
Best Car for the Money!!
I love my Integra. I bought it 4 yrs ago at 180K miles for $2000. I've added over 65k since & it runs perfect! I've only had minor problems (>$300). I get 30/40 mpg. Love the hatchback style-will never go back to sedans. Machanics (for oil changes) are always amazed at its condition, milage, and smoothness.
Most inexpensive car ever
This is, by far, the cheapest car I've ever owned. Aside from routine maintainence, only have needed brakes / battery / exhaust. Not bad for a 11 year old car! Still runs great!!!
Still Love my 'Teg
I bought my 'Teg used with 115k miles; I've added 40k since then. The car has been solid with minimal repairs. My dad was speculative at first, but he has been won over by its excellent reliability. I still enjoy driving this fun car every day. Although I usually drive rather conservatively, I appreciate the performance this car can offer. It's great when I need it (or just want it). :) The looks are classic, too, in a way that the car still looks sharp at 15 years. I love to wash and wax it by hand. The 'Teg is like a friend to me, and I hope it'll keep running strong for many more years.
GS-R (Great Sport-Ride)
This vechile is great. I'm the original owner and all this car has given me is fun. There are not many Gs- R's around anymore, but those who own one will surely love it. With the B17A1 1.7 block, this puppy pushes around 160-170 stock! No major changes have occured, basic maintence and the car still runs really great, and it looks really good too. I can redline with no breeze and the car still feels like it's pushing.
1992 Integra GS-R
Definitely one of the most fun cars to drive!!! Performance is fantastic due to the light weight and 8000 rpm redline! Reliability is fantastic. I've brought in my 2000 Mercedes more often for warranty work than this car. I even try to use this car as much as possible for my daily driver - only if I could take clients out in it (non- existent back seat). Great car!
Its a GS-R Man
So far, I've enjoyed driving and having my GS-R. Its got minor problems from the previous owner but I'm working on getting it cleaned up and in perfect running order. I like the way the car feels when I down shift and the RPM jumps up to 5g's or 6g's. And I can feel the torque of the engine when its being pushed a bit. I pretty much use it like a daily drive but I take it to the track every so often to race. The handling could use a bit of improvement but I'm working on doing that myself.
Outstanding car
This car has better performance than most cars currently competing in it's market and it was manufactured in 92. Some very cheap upgrades and you have a car that better than anything in it's market, even 10 years later.
Great Car
My first car and still going strong after 11 years. From the drivers position the interior layout is good, with a better driving view than the 3rd generation Integra. Handling is great and fun to drive around. Just can't say enough on how reliable this car is, no major repairs, just the normal wear and tear (brakes, timing belt). This car will last me another 10 years or more till my next Acura.
nice ride
very spacious for a coupe, very fast and excelent stability, also nice interior and very easy to drive.
Good pickup 140Hp Mini Power Pack
I have purchased this car from private party when it was 62000 and no it has 89000 still runs good and in excellent condition, Good for students, daily commuters. reliability and handling is awsome. the only problem is mileage, ofcourse we cannot expect 40Mpg from a 1.8L 140Hp engine, but when compared with other cars with same year and size. This car is fun to drive and excellent Pickup, even Automatic car can like a 5-Speed Manual car. I am verymuch excited to drive and this is an excellent machine.
Best Car Ever - Bang for Buck
This is my 2nd 1992 GS Hatchback. The 1st. one lasted 200K, with no problems at all. I sold it to a friend who is still driving it today, with 265K+ miles on it. My new one one has only 46K on the clock, and has many, many years ahead. These cars are stylish tanks that keep going & going. They only need routine maint., never any expensive repairs. ACURA outdid themselves with this one. Parents, this is the best used car value for your kids just starting to drive. By far, the best overall car I've ever owned. I've owned Nissans, M-Benz, Ford, Toyotas, etc....and none of them compare to this car dollar for dollar value.
Integrity is a good description.
Honda proves its reliability again. My last car was a 1984 Civic which I ran for approx. 20 yrs. before the timing belt broke and required major motor repair. Thought this would be a good upgrade. More than satisfied.
Nice job Acura
My Acura went from my father to my brother then me and it still runs strong. My 2nd generation Integra has 275k with out problems. However I do think that the years are starting to catch up to it. But it is one of the most reliable cars I have ever seen.
Love this car
I've owned this car for over 5 years and 100,000 miles. It's got over 180,000 miles on it now and still runs great. It's fun to drive, has good power, handles great, and is extremely reliable and efficient. It's nice to get 30 MPG while still having enough power to be fun. I've never had to do any major repairs. I'd recommend this car to anybody.
Great Car!
I bought my Integra used with 80K miles on it. I am now over 160K and it is still running strong. Only needed general maintenance and a few exhaust repairs over the years. All around great car! Very fast!
Great Value
I did a lot of research trying to find a fun, reliable car for under $5,000. I was able to find it in my Integra. I bought the GS model which has all the power accessories but does not have the vtec engine. The 1.8 liter engine in it though, has plenty of zip and has been really reliable. There are plenty of after market components you can buy to make it faster or look better and its really not that much differenet than a Honda Civic if you do your own auto repair. I found this car to be a much better value of comparable models like the Nissan 240 or Toyota Celica.
My first car!
This is the first car I ever owned and I couldn't be happier with it! It's easy to park, great accerlation, fuel economic, great car to learn to drive in. I liked the fact that you have a great view through the back as a result of having the hatchback, there are very few blind spots anywhere you look. It handles great and has not given me any problems. I bought this car used with 102000 miles and it runs better than my Dad's 2000 Grand Prix that only has 18000 miles. The only thing I have done to the car since I got was was change the rear shocks, install new altezza lights in the rear (makes it look a lot newer), and upgraded the sound system.
My Car
This has been a very good little car. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a used car for their child.
Poor Person's Sport Car
I have owned Fords, Pontiacs, Peugeot and a few others yet, no car has ever performed as well as my Acura Integra - it has good pickup, so please do not stomp it, it will deliver, do not slam on the brakes, if you do do not worry anti lock system makes you feel great. Gas: 34/43 mile a gallon without tune up.
Bulletproof Beuty
My Integra GS-R is a rare Aztec Green 1992 model. It is absolutely bulletproof. Aside from regular maintenance and tires, it has never needed extra service. It is a joy to drive, especially past gas stations. I get almost 27 mpg. It carves up curves as well as the day it came home from the dealer. And you can't adequately put into words the sheer joy from seeing young men pressing their faces against the windows of passing cars to get a longer look at a true dream car. People stop me almost weekly, intently asking, "Do you want to sell?" Well, maybe, if the price is really right. See, I know what I have in my garage and I think I'll keep it.
Fill'er up and GO !!!!
I've had this vehicle now since Dec. 1992 and no problems whatsoever. 225K and still on original engine and transmission. Even radiator is OEM. Only thing needed to change was pass. window motor, clutch at 175K, muffler at 190K. I lose about 1/2 qt. of oil per 4000K oil change. Have used synthetic since new.
Approaching perfection...
The most solidly reliable car I've ever owned, my GS-R has always made me happy. Even though I'm 6'4" and my head tends to rub the roof, I've not seen anything that makes me want to give her up! After ten years (mostly in Florida), the OEM speakers had rotted away, the power antenna died and the moonroof rattles a bit, but she's otherwise a perfect speciman. A new stereo (I wanted anyway), a wash and wax -- like new! The biggest drawback is that the large amount of glass makes the car a greehouse, that can mean temps in the 150F range at the end of the workday here (I've measured). But the AC is powerful enough to cool it down quickly.
Fun, Practical Car
I bought my 1992 LS about two months ago and absolutely love it. It needs new brakes, the exhaust rattles at idle speeds, and only one speaker works, but it is fun to drive and it is practical. Despite being the smaller of two motors offered, it has great acceleration, great passing power, and great power for mountain passes. I can easily cruise at 100-115 on the interstate and hold 90 on the mountain passes. I love it!
The best Acura ever made!
I have had this car for 10 yrs and I am very satisfied with it. This car has been very reliable and I have not had any problems with it, only minor maintenance. I highly recommend this car to all.
All Around Great Car
I bought my integra used in 1998 and have been throughly pleased with it since. This car has been fun, reliable, and easy to maintain. My car has 165000 miles and is still driving just like it did 4 years ago. The up keep on the car has been fairly reasonable and except for replacing the master cylinder I have had no major repairs. I would strongly recommend this car to anyone especially those that tend to be rougher on their cars as I tend to be.
Nice car
This car has everything a car needs performance, fuel economy, and reliability. Almost a 100k and still drives better than my last car which had only 52k on it. Its very fun to drive because of its awesome acceleration. I would recomend this car to anybody.
Best Thing I've Ever Purchased
I love my car. It has 179K miles and I have done very little maintenance, other than oil changes. It has been very reliable. I still love the styling and it still hums down the highway as though it will go on forever. Still gets about 33 MPG on the highway, yet has the "get up and go" for when I need it. Takes corners like a dream.
Integra GS-R
I love this car. I've owned many Hondas and Acuras in the past, and this is by far the best.
