GOTHENBURG, Sweden — A Volvo stunt showing the actor Jean-Claude Van Damme doing the splits in between two trucks has snagged 23 million YouTube views in just a few days.

The video was designed to show off the stability of Volvo steering.

Van Damme says he has "a pair of legs engineered to defy the laws of physics and a mindset to master the most epic of splits."

The actor stands on the rearview mirrors of two side-by-side trucks, accompanied by Enya singing "Only Time." The video begins with Van Damme saying: "I've had my ups and downs. My fair share of bumpy roads and heavy winds. That's what made me what I am today. Now I stand here before you. What you see is a body crafted to perfection."

The trucks are moving backward on any empty stretch of highway. While the trucks travel in reverse, Van Damme slowly spreads his legs until he is in a complete split.

The automaker says the "test" was "set up to demonstrate the stability and precision of Volvo Dynamic Steering." It is calling the stunt the "world-first split between two reversing Volvo trucks."

Edmunds says: Don't try this at home.
