NASHVILLE, Tennessee — The base 2014 Nissan Cube starts at $17,570, including an $810 destination charge, reflecting no price increase over the 2013 model.

The top-of-the-line 2014 Nissan Cube 1.8 SL CVT starts at $19,670, including shipping, reflecting no price increase over the 2013 model.

The 2014 Cube is a carryover model. One new exterior color is offered for 2013 — Caspian Sea, which replaces the previous Bitter Chocolate.

The Cube stands out in the marketplace with its asymmetrical styling, side-opening back door and "casual lounge" cabin.

It is on sale now.

The Cube's competitors include the Honda Fit, Kia Soul and Scion xD.

Edmunds says: Nissan was smart to hold the line on 2014 Cube pricing, since it is more expensive than the Honda Fit and Kia Soul.
