I recently purchased my leased XC90. Couldn’t part ways with it. It’s been extremely reliable and I highly recommend it.

I've owned from 20K miles to 208K miles as a daily driver. Find a specialist shop to work on it, I have done many simple things myself - you can buy parts directly from the wholesale vendor. If you want an older euro car don't expect to have nothing go wrong and never fix anything. Example... the alternator is $500 wholesale, $725 at a dealer plus $400 to install. Yes you can get a Duralast at AutoZone for $350 and install yourself. So make sure to buy at a fair price and that that car has been maintained.

I see others complain about maintenance costs but if you take it to a very experienced local Volvo tech maintenance is not a extreme problem. the ride quality is phenomenal it’s not fast but keeps up with traffic, great the use of space in the interior it is unmatched by other brands Luxury SUVs not to mention it’s one of the safest cars ever made basically unflippable. Extremely reliable if you listen to your mechanic and do preventive maintenance before it causes severe issues. I’ve had many Volvos and what I know is they can be finicky but if you have an experienced Volvo mechanic who knows the problems these cars have and can prevent them before they happen a Volvo will be the best car you’ve ever owned. Volvo for life!
