Used 2004 Volvo XC90 Consumer Reviews
What a difference 10 years makes
We replaced our 144K 940 turbo wagen with the loaded XC. Our only complaint has been the Bose CD changer, which froze up...requiring a trip to the dealer to arrange replacement. As for what Volvo built, it is so much better than our 940. If it lasts as long, then we have made a heck of a purchase.
great car
The Volvo XC90 T6 is a excellent car. I like the T6 performance. Very good handleing on sharp curves. Excellent audio system with dolby pro logic 2.

Phenomenal vehicle!
Volvo has outdone itself with this vehicle. The design, the performance, the quality of the materials and the workmanship - everything is just outstanding. This SUV is a fun to drive: it is quiet, sporty, comfortable, with wonderfully ergonomic controls. Yes, I looked at BMW X5 and Infiniti FX-whatever, and they don't even come close. Volvo's XC90 is classy and sophisticated, and my neighbor doesn't have one. :-)
Smooth ride
I've have always been told that Volvo was a safe car to drive. I did not realize it until I went to look for myself. I was amazed by all the safety features in the XC90, especially the stabiity control and anti-roll system. The ride is real smooth and plenty of power. We looked at MB M350, BMW X5, Nissan Murano, Infiniti FX35, Toyota Sequoia, GMC Yukon. The X5 was our second choice. I just wish the fuel tank was larger. At 18 mpg you don't get too far on 19 gallons.
Frustrated
In the last six week's we have had 4 major system problems; brakes, cruise contol, a/c fan and automatic transmission. We have no confidence in this vehicle and Volvo USA is basically useless. Once you buy it you are stuck. Now when we go any sort of distance we take our five year old Toyota rather than our new $45,000 Volvo. I think that says it all.
